Company Communications Chief United States Marine Corps


2007 – Present Camp Pendleton, Ca

• Responsible for inventory of $5 million in communications radio, data and maintenance


equipment.
• Supervise the employment and maintenance cycle of tactical radio systems for over 100
employees during combat operations.
• Conduct communications systems research and development to improve overall tactical
communications capability.
• Oversaw operational deployment of communication assets and staff within a combat
environment (five tours of duty within the Iraqi Theater of Operations.)
• Conducted radio frequency propagation studies and created detailed communications
plans for LOS VHF, BLOS HF, UHF and SATCOM communications.
• Implemented operational directives. Managed communications facilities and activities.
• Configure equipment to provide voice, data, digital, and analog operations which leads to
uninterrupted, reliable communications.
• Managed, operated, troubleshoot and employed the AN/PRC-119 (A)(B)(C)(F) versions,
AN/PRC-117F, AN/PRC-150, VRC-110/111, AN/PRC-152/148, MRC-148/145, MSIDS,

• Configured, reviewed, analyzed radio programming applications for tactical radio

2000 – 2004 Camp Pendleton, Ca

• Operated, deployed and sustained radio transmitters and receivers for line-of-sight, air-
to-ground, and satellite communications. Provided multiple spectrum communications in
fixed and tactical environments. Configured antenna and radio equipment for efficient
operations.
• Developed, maintained and supervised a division EPLRS network during multiple combat
tours in the Iraqi theater of operations.
• Developed standard operation procedures and implemented and supervised the training
and operation of multiple EPLRS networks with over 200 outstations.

• Standardized operating procedures for the transfer of data through wireless messaging
terminal utilizing tactical radios over multiple circuits.

operations.
• Submitted detailed communications equipment and maintenance reports, which included
accountability of tactical radios, cryptographic material, computers, printers, computer
peripherals, antennas, power supplies, and tactical communications vehicles.
• Trained unit personnel on the planning, operations, programming and routine maintenance of
all tactical radio and data communications and associated support equipment.
• Performed preventive and scheduled equipment checks, troubleshooting, and minor
maintenance such as upgrades in radio software, firmware and programming applications.
