Noun is a name of a person, place or thing.
Noun is divided into two parts. They are Concrete Noun (Which we can see, feel and touch) Abstract Noun (Which we can feel) Concrete Noun is again divided into four parts. They are Proper noun Common noun Collective noun Material noun

Proper nouns Fixed names of person, places and things are called proper nouns. Proper noun will always begin with a capital letter no matter where it occurs in a sentence. Example: London, India, Sony, Oreo He is Raju. She is from India. He has Samsung mobile. Common nouns The nouns which we use commonly are called Common nouns. Example: Man, Woman, Boy, Animal, Fan Tiger is an animal. Proper noun Common noun Sita is a good girl. Proper noun Common noun Collective nouns Names of the groups are called Collective nouns. Example: Class, Auditorium, Theatre, School, College, Temple, Mosque, Church, Parliament, Library, Bus station, Office, Army, Institute, Academy, Association, Council, Corporation, Committee, Hotel, Hospital, Firm, Organization Material nouns Names of metals and materials are called Material nouns. Example: Metals: Gold, Silver, Platinum, Copper, Iron Materials: Cement, Plastic, Wood, Cotton Grocery: Rice, Sugar, Oil
Abstract nouns Name of the feelings or emotions are called Abstract nouns. We can form abstract noun nouns from common nouns, Verbs, Adjectives and Adverbs. Example: Child - Childhood Good - Goodness Kind - Kindness Foolish - Foolishness Beautiful - Beauty Detect - Detection Lovely - Loveliness Virtue, vice, action, boldness, achievement, hatred, patience, Tolerance, Honesty, Badness Nouns
