Rajiv Luthra has been appointed and nominated by

* the Securities Exchange Board of I ndia (SEBI ) on its high level
committee for Reviewing Insider Trading Regulations and its
committee on Rationalization of Investment Routes and Monitoring
of Foreign Portfolio Investments.

* the Ministry of Commerce as Convener of the J oint Economic and
Trade Committee (J ETCO) between India and the UK, formed to advise
the Government of India on the liberalisation of legal services under the
General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS)

* the Government of I ndia to the Advisory Board of the Competition
Commission of I ndia and the Competition Advocacy Steering
Committee.

* the Planning Commission of I ndia to an expert panel to formulate a
National Competition Policy for the 11

Five Year Plan.

Rajiv Luthra is a Member of

* the Round Table on Legal Education (a Department of Higher
Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of
India initiative).

He speaks at numerous law college campuses across the country and
serves on the Board of Governors of the National Law School of I ndia

Law, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Project Finance.
Rajiv Luthra and his Firm conceived, adviced on and presented to the Union
Human Resources Development, Government of India, the amendment to the
Copyright Act, 1957 on the issue of equal share of royalties to authors and
composers, arising from the exploitation of music in India. Appeared and gave
evidence before the Standing Committee of the Parliament tasked with
reviewing the proposed amendments.
The proposed Amendments were passed unanimously by both the Houses of
the Parliament.
Rajiv Luthra supports a number of charitable and non-profit initiatives in
various spheres of activity. He founded LIFE Foundation (Leading India to
a Fresh Environment), which was set up to follow-up on the implementation of
progressive court orders on a wide range of issues and attempts to ensure
bureaucratic accountability. He was instrumental in the setting up of the
SRI MS Emergency Service Foundation which provides free ambulance
service in Gurgaon and is also involved in the Save the Tiger Campaign
along with NDTV.

Rajiv Luthra advises the Planning Commission of India, the Government of
India and government-owned corporations including the merger of Air India
and Indian Airlines. Additonally, he also advises multinationals such as,
ArcelorMittal, AT&T, Bank of America, Emaar, ExxonMobil, Goldman Sachs,
Monsanto, MYLAN Pharmaceuticals, Reliance, Rolls Royce, Temasek, The
World Bank, the Blackstone Group, among others.

Rajiv Luthra is also a regular commentator in the general news media on legal
and economic issues, and his articles and opinions frequently appear in
publications including the Economic Times, the Business Standard, the New
York Times and the Financial Times.
