Job Purpose
Ensures that piping systems are analysed in accordance with the applicable codes, standards and clients
specifications. Provides recommendations to clients and issues stress reports.
Key Accountabilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain project pipe stress specification and related technical documentation.
Review piping scope and identify all critical and non-critical lines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Pipe supporting experience including special supports like Snubber, constant spring selection & sway
struts.
Solving complex pipe stress issues using past experience & understanding of the project guidelines.
Evaluation of nozzle loads as per WRC 107/WRC 297/ API 610/ API 617 etc.,

and IFC's, "Issued for Construction" documents encompassing the support standard document, plot

Primary Duties
Review the ITB (Invitation to Bid) documents submitted in the
proposals stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial
vendor offers, prepare equipment, material and manhour
estimates.
Review contract requirements for project execution, organize the
preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR), identify
requirements and scope of work Review specifications,
Process Data Sheets (PDS), Piping Material Specifications (PMS),
Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot plans, General
Arrangement (GA) drawings. Review Philosophies, Area
Classification Drawings, Fire and Gas Detector Layout Drawings and
other relevant documents. Establish contract review criteria, identify
and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal
through the technical queries to projects/client.
Verify scope of work, budgeted man hours, budgeted quantities, total
of deliverables, format of delivery, time schedules, plant layout, stress
analysis, isometrics, bill of materials, capacity,
pressure requirements and other requirements.
Monitor Man-hour requirements during project execution; identify
variations between Contract and proposal. Plan/ Schedule task
assignments, establish target completion dates, ensure target
dates are achieved. Maintain project schedules, ensure allotted man
hours, deadlines and cost requirements are adhered to. Recommend
cost effective measures to reduce overall package
costs.
Apportion work among engineering staff according to specialized

An experienced Senior Piping Engineer is required to join our client's team in Mumbai.

Skills & Experience
