OUR
BELIEFS
Jesus said that the world would know that we are His because
we are one. (John 17:21-22) Though we are people with many
different backgrounds we all strive to be united in firm belief
and loving action.
These are our non-negotiable statements of belief...
About God
God is Creator and Ruler of the universe. There is one God in
three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We beleive that
God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is Holy and
all people.
gin Mary, took on flesh and blood, and made His dwelling
About Men
among us. His physical death on the cross saves us from sin.
About Salvation
About Eternity
cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. Every person
has sinned, but every person can also be forgiven and saved
penting of our sins and being baptized in water, you will have
your sins forgiven, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit, and
CAREGROUPS
Our Care Groups are designed to facilitate physical and
relational care for each of our members. There are five such
groups here at AFCOC. Each group has a leader, typically a
family, which will be responsible for various tasks throughout
the year. This is just one way for us to stay abreast of member
needs and to make information dissemination easier.
You will be assigned to a Care Group based on where you
live in the Metroplex. Anita Taylor, our church secretary, will
take care of this and inform you of your particular group. She
will also provide you with a list of your group members and
a church directory to aid you with putting faces with names.
This should happen within your first few weeks here, but in
the event that it doesnt, feel free to ask her about it!
BIBLE
STUDY GROUPS
Our Bible Study Groups serve as one of the core programs at Airport Freeway. That is because we realize that the
in-depth study of Gods Word is critical to the growth and development of Christians at every stage of maturity.
Although our Adult classes are well thought out and taught by interesting, capable, knowledgeable men of God;
we do put special emphasis on our childrens curriculum. We believe in creating an environment that is nurturing
and that creates in them a desire to be here and to know God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
We know that Gods Word is the ultimate life-guide:
Theres nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
Every part of scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another- showing us truth, exposing our rebellion,
correcting our mistakes, training us to live Gods way. Through the Word, we are put together and shaped up for
the tasks God has for us.

Bible Buck Store
We have a Bible Buck Store that serves our Sunday Morning Childrens Bible Classes. Students in these classes earn Bible Bucks
for various things: Attendance, Good Citizenship, Memory Verses, etc. They may then use these bucks to shop for snacks, toys,
and other items in the Bible Buck Store. The more bucks they have, the better items they can afford. So learning the value of
saving is also encouraged.

Leadership Training for Christ (LTC)
This ministry is a spiritual learning experience, open to the youth from third through twelfth grade and offers numerous categories of participation in spiritual growth and activities. These range from single scripture reading to an in depth study of the
scripture for Bible Bowl and Bible quiz; from individual song leading to small and large group chorus and from signing for the
deaf to scrap booking. These very special events take place the weekend of Easter, each year. Young people from all over Texas
come together to share and compete in various areas of Christian growth among their Christian peers.
Much adult support is needed for coaching, training, facilitating and chaperoning.
