I am Lintang Widhiasty, basically from Bontang, East Borneo, but I have
completed my high school here, so I've been living here for almost 4 years. Regarding to my education background, I have finished my entire pre until junior high in my hometown, Bontang. Due to the lack of things to be learnt I wanted to move my education to different city, and this is the reason I choose Yogyakarta to continue my high school. I'm so glad I can learn so many thing that I can't learn there, the fact I have to far away from my family was hard on the first time, but I get used to it now. there are 3 more members in my family excluding me, wich are my parents and my little sister. My mother is housewife , my little sister still on junior high and she's on her senior year now, but for her next level, she will continue her high-school on Bontang to company my mom so she doesn't feel alone . My father is common employee on PT.Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, one of the biggest plant on my hometown. My Father is kind of man that didn't speak much but he trully love his familly with his whole heart. He's kind of man who always think of his family's happiness first before he think of his. My mother is a very loving person, and she good at cooking too. And my little sister is the lazy and anoying one, but she's the person I miss the most. My hobbies are hanging out with my friends, reading a book, surfing the internet and also painting, and yes I love to paint so much. I had a lot of award in painting on my junior-high. Honesty speaking, I have a lot of weakness too. There is none other than only one weakness of mine is that I like to hold something up, and I keep on trying to fix that. Looking on the other side, there are some strenghts are also belong to me. I am passionate about hard work, and I'm having faith in myself to prove everyone who always mock me and humiliate me that they're all wrong.
I am a student majoring in chemical engineering now. My father once said that the process due my major will not get easier, it will get harder and harder. Before get in here, I always ask my father: "What do chemical engineers do?" and he take too long list to explain to me. I know that chemical engineers usually work in manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, paper, food processing, chemicals, materials such as polymers, fibers,and also petrochemicals. During the time I've been spending as chemical engineering student, now I know that chemical engineer rely on their knowledge of mathematics and science, and chemical took little part on this major. We use our logical of engineering to fix some technical problem and as an engineer we have to apply our knowledge to solve any technical challenges nowadays, we analyzing the economic part- also to make profit. We process chemicals, to change raw materials into a products to improve everything we see around us, to make life more efficient. As a student here, I know that I'll face so many challenges in the future, how to applying my knowledge to the society, to help people for making their life better and easier, communication and teamwork skills, and I have put a lot of hardwork in this. As an future engineer that will work on some big plant, commucation skills is important, and I hope english for engineering can help me to communicate in english, to understand specific things I learnt in chemical engineering, and help me for my speaking too.
