The Institution, the largest professional body of engineers and technologists in the country, invites
applications in the prescribed format available on our website for the following position in All India Cadre:1. DIRECTOR (ADMINISTRATION)
Applicants must be MBA (or equivalent) from a reputed recognised Institute/university. However
additional qualification of LLB will be preferred.
The candidate must have Minimum 15 years of relevant experience at Senior level in Human Resource
Management, particularly Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Training, Union matters etc. with sufficient
exposure to legal matters. Candidate shall be responsible for HR matters, Personnel Management,
Administrative and Legal matters at the Headquarters and Centres of the Institution.
2. DIRECTOR (FINANCE)
Applicants must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) having passed Final Examination from the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India. However additional qualification of passing final examination of
Institute of Company Secretaries of India shall be preferred.
The applicant must have Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in senior management position in
the field of corporate financial management and accounts including Cost and Budgetary Control,
Institutional Finance, Working Capital Management, liasoning with auditors, banks and tax authorities,
matter related direct and indirect taxes, holding of Board and other meetings, preparation of Agenda
and Minutes etc. in an organization of repute. The person should have worked in fully computerised
environment. He/She shall be responsible for all the matters related Finance of the Institution.
3. DIRECTOR (EDUCATION, EXAMINATIONS AND ACCREDITATION)
Applicants must be graduate in engineering.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in senior management/academic position with sufficient
experience in the field of Education, Examination and Accreditation. The incumbent shall be responsible
for the entire Examinations being conducted by IEI and other related matters at Headquarters at
Kolkata.
Pay Band : Rs.37400-67000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.8700/-.
Upper age limit : 50 years.
General : (i) Age limit and post-qualification experience to be reckoned as on 01 March 2015; Age is
relaxable by 3 years for deserving candidates as per rule, (ii) Incumbents are transferable to any place in
India. (iii) The incumbent selected for the post may be assigned different responsibility if the situation so
demands in the interest of Institution of Engineers (India). (iv) The candidates applying for the above post
may note that suppression or distortion of any facts of age, qualification or experience may lead to rejection
of the candidature at any stage of selection process or termination of service (if selected) without assigning
any reason thereof. (v) Any canvassing in support of their candidature may lead to disqualification. (vi) IEI
deserves the right to decide the number of vacancies appropriately or to close the process of selection
without assigning any reason. (vii) Application by Email will be summarily rejected. (viii) Application without
supporting documents in support of age, qualification and experience will be rejected.
