A REVIEW ( Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens)

Oliver Twist is a book written by Charles Dickens. The

author showed Londons life and society. The main
character of the book is an orphan named Oliver Twist.
The book tells the story about sad Olivers life. He lost
his family and moved to childrens home where living
conditions were awful, so kids were starving. One day
Oliver escaped and then he met a thief who took him to his
leader. There begins an amazing adventure of a boy.
I really like this book, but first when I saw the cover I
thought its for children. I think its not an appropriate
book for kids, because its full of violence. I would say its
an interesting and sad book, because the boy met a lot of
bad people. Happily, Oliver found a nice family and
everything ended up very good.

"Oliver Twist" is a unique story about a little boy who
wasn`t spoiled by life. He was an orphan who lived in the
workhouse and then was forced to stay with a group of
gang. Finally he was adopted by a generous man to live
with him happily.
I like the book very much. The story points out that
generous people such as Mr Brownlow, Mrs Maylie,

Oliver, etc. would end up with the happiness. In contrast,

bad people such as Fagin, Monks, Bill Sikes etc. would
end their life with miserable death or imprisonment.
Moreover, it is a kind of happy ending story that every
good character will finally find happiness.
Oliver Twist gives voice to the people who are ignored and
forgotten in the society.
I strongly recommend this easy-to-read book to
anyone who searches for love, hope, peace, and meaning
in life and who hopes to live a good life. It will get into the
bottom of your heart. Oliver Twist will make you cry and
laugh.

Oliver Twist
I really like this book, because it is wonderful story about
a brave boy- Oliver. He had a horrible life. Some people
hurt him, laughed at him, but he did not give up. The
author of the book showed us an awful, unfair human
behaviours and unpleasant habits in XIX century. Oliver
struggled with these things. He teaches us perseverance,
courage and undying hope. The book Oliver Twist
shows us that in life there aren`t only difficult times but
there are also beautiful moments and people who help us,

but we always have to believe and never stop fighting.

This is very beautiful novel.

Oliver Twist is an amazing story about a little boy who

gets passed from place to place and had a very hard life.
When he was a child his mother died and he was sent to a
workhouse. Then he was tried to be sold from the
workhouse as an apprentice but he runs away from there.
On his way to London he met a boy called Artful Dodger
and then ended up with Fagin the leader of a gang of
thieves who taught children how to steal. Luckily Oliver
also met people who took good care of him and helped
him with problems he had.
In my opinion the novel is very entertaining and it
makes you want to read more. I liked the fact that Fagin
and Sikes tried to change Oliver but he continued to be an
innocent good boy. My favourite character is Mr.
Brownlow who took care of Oliver and loved him despite
the things he had done and his past. I cried while reading

the part when Oliver was accused of a robbery he hadn`t

committed and Mr. Brownlow took him to his house
because he was sick. I liked the end and I wouldn`t
change anything in the book.
I really recommend this story to everyone. It`s brief
and fascinating.

Oliver Twist is one of the best books I have ever read.

The story of the main character - Oliver- is very
interesting. In my opinion this is a book for people of all
ages. It's short, so it's ideal for evening reading. I think
that likeable character of Oliver and his fate will appeal
to
everyone
.
I also think that Oliver's behavior is truly remarkable.
The boy, despite the fact that he was drawn into the world
of crime, tries not to surrender to evil. I really recommend
this book to all and I assure you that you will not regret
it.

The novel Oliver Twist written by Charles Dickens did

not make as huge impression on me as I had expected.
Before I read this book, I heard only positive opinions
about it, and somebody even was fascinated with the
adventures of a poor boy. It was not breathtaking for me.
Naturally, some parts of Oliver Twist made me think
about my life and my worldview but to be honest, I
thought that it would influence me more. Maybe the
reason is that people exalt the novel too much, because
they know different novels of Dickens and they want the
other to remember a story about orphaned child. The
novel is worth reading but I was disappointed because I
expected more surprising moments what make the story
more absorbing. In spite of all, I persuade everyone to
read Oliver Twist because it is one of timeless book
which bring something positive to our life.

Oliver Twist is a wonderful story written by Carl
Dickens. Oliver was born in a workhouse in a small town
near London. His mother died after his birth. He was
brought up at a "child farm" in the country until he was
about eight. Then he was sent to work and stayed with the
coffin-maker Sowerberry. One day he runs away and
wants to find his fortune in London. Instead, he falls in
with a boy called Jack Dawkins, who was part of a child
gang of thieves - run by Fagin. Oliver was accused of pick

pocketing a gentleman who later takes him to his home

and looks after him. The thieves manage to kidnap Oliver
once more and try to turn him into a criminal and on one
of his assignments he is badly injured. Fortunately,
Oliver was picked up by a family that turns out to be as
nice as Mr. Brownlow. Fagin was arrested and hanged for
his crimes. Oliver learnt to read and write with his new
friends, the Maylies. He was also reunited with his first
friend, Mr. Brownlow.
Oliver`s life was full of ups and downs. Despite all
the difficulties, he didn`t let the evil to win. He lived with
bad guys but he didn`t become one of them. I admire
Oliver for being so strong. He didnt blame anyone for not
having comfortable life. Oliver kept thinking positively
and believed that one day happiness would come. This is
what I learned from Oliver Twist story.
I`m sure that young and older people will find this
book interesting and inspiring.

''Oliver Twist'' is the best book I have ever read. It is very
interesting. Oliver is my favourite character from the
book. The boy had a difficult situation, but did not give
up. He showed that even in the world of crime everyone

can be a good person. I think this book is for adults,

teenagers and children. They can learn a lot from it. I
think that this book should definitely be on your list of
must-read.

Oliver Twist is a book based on the novel by
Charles Dickens. Its about a little orphan named Oliver
Twist who looks for better life for himself.
I like Oliver because he is not a bad boy. He didnt
want to join the group of thieves. This decision let him to
find a good gentleman who became his family. He shows
us that even with difficult past we can find happiness but
we have to be as strong and brave as Oliver.
I also like Nancy who was a friend of group head. At
first she didnt like Oliver, but finally she sacrificed her
life for this little boy.
If you want to know how to fight for happiness, you
should read this book.
