A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE RESULT OF THE PLEBISCITE FOR THE
AUTONOMOUS STUDENT GOVERNMENT BASIC LAW (ASG-BL) CONDUCTED ON
FEBRUARY 23, 2015 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO,
KIDAPAWAN CITY CAMPUS, COLLEGE OF INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY,
SUDAPIN, KIDAPAWAN CITY, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO AND
FORMALLY ENFORCING THE ASG-BL TO EFFECT
WHEREAS, the University Student Government (USG) upon the request of the Autonomous
Student Government (ASG) drafted an ASG-BL to address the needs of the KCC
Community in terms of the identity and functions of its student-government;
WHEREAS, the ASG and USG sees no violation or unconstitutionality of the draft ASG-BL
hence, submitted the ASG-BL for ratification to the KCC student populace;

ACKNOWLEDGING THE RESULT OF THE PLEBISCITE FOR THE AUTONOMOUS
STUDENT GOVERNMENT BASIC LAW (ASG-BL) CONDUCTED ON FEBRUARY 23,
2015 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO, KIDAPAWAN CITY
CAMPUS, COLLEGE OF INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY, SUDAPIN, KIDAPAWAN
CITY, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO AND FORMALLY ENFORCING THE
ASG-BL TO EFFECT
WHEREAS, there is a need to draft and approve a new ASG-BL to determine the extent of
powers given to the ASG for its jurisdiction;
WHEREAS, there is a need to draft and approve a new ASG-BL to determine the extent of
powers of the USG in interfering to affairs of the ASG on its jurisdiction;
WHEREAS, the Autonomous Student Government conducted a plebiscite for the ASG-BL last
February 23, 2015 with the presence of the USG representative, USG Senate
President Hon. Rustom P. Baloyo;
WHEREAS, after the presentation and consultations conducted, majority of the USM-KCC
students agreed to the provisions of the newly-drafted ASG-BL thus approving the
entirety of the ASG-BL;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT;
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, acknowledging the result of the plebiscite for the
Autonomous Student Government Basic Law (ASG-BL) conducted on February
23, 2015 at the University of Southern Mindanao, Kidapawan City Campus,
College of Industry and Technology, Sudapin, Kidapawan City, Province of North
Cotabato and formally enforcing the ASG-BL to effect
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the ASG-BL shall be enforced immediately after the approval of
the majority of KCC students;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the ASG-BL shall become the source of authority of the ASG
officers in the performance of its functions;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the ASG-BL shall be the sole basis of the Commission on
Elections (COMELEC) for the qualifications of aspiring leaders in any future
elections;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the ASG-BL shall be the reference of the COMELEC in the
conduct of any future elections;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of the ASG Basic Law shall be printed, and bounded
along with this resolution and any other necessary documents shall be attached;

CAMPUS, COLLEGE OF INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY, SUDAPIN, KIDAPAWAN
CITY, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO AND FORMALLY ENFORCING THE
ASG-BL TO EFFECT
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a printed and bounded copy of the Basic Law shall be forwarded
to the Office of the Student Affairs, Administrative Office, Commission on
Election and a copy must be put at all times inside the Autonomous Student
Government office for reference;
RESOLVED FURTHER, should there any be question as to the authenticity because of
tampering, unclear printing or any others of any future copies of ASG Basic Law
other than the original copies forwarded to the offices stated herein, the original
copy given to the Office of the Student Affairs or Administrative Office must
prevail and should be followed;
RESOLVED FURTHER, widest dissemination of this joint resolution is desired;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval.
Joint Resolution No. 01 series of 2015 has been approved on the 24th day of February, 2015,
10:35 in the morning at the Autonomous Student Government Office, University of Southern
Mindanao, Kidapawan City Campus, College of Industry and Technology, Sudapin, Kidapawan
City, Province of North Cotabato.
