Green tea is lauded for its many health benefits- it guards against heart disease,
diabetes, cancer, weight gain, even tooth decay. New research continues to stuck up its
merits. Its secret? This brew is naturally reach in group of anti oxidants called catechins.
Recently, US researchers found evidence of this compounds osteoprotective effect. Green
tea has a higher concentration of catechins and appears to benefit bone health more than
other kinds of tea, such as black and oolong, says Dr. Leslie Shen of Texas Tech University.
Early research from Hong Kong also suggest green teas catechins can benefit the eye, with
signs that is absorbed by the lens, retina and other eye tissues.

One of the things I do to help improve my English is to watch television. This is no doubt
one of the most popular techniques that most students of English, like me, use. I find that
situation comedies and detective shows help me improve my listening skills the most
because the actors speak very fast. Documentaries and news program help me build my
vocabulary because they contain materials covering a range of topics that interest me. All
the shows help me improve my speaking skills in two ways: In the way I pronounce words
because I consciously try to imitate the way the actors speaks or the way newscasters
enunciate each word so well; and in the way I raise and lower my voice to put life in the
ideas I express.

About seventy percent of the Philippine population lives in the rural areas. By a numerical
coincidence , about 75 percent of the cause of death among our rural folks are

communicable and preventable diseases. From these two figures, one can see the enormity
of the loss in productivity from avoidable deaths.
This is a heart-breaking situation. In terms of pesos, this is even greater when we include
the expenses incurred for medical care during illness. There is also the factor of mental
anguish, the sense of insecurity, and the disturbed tempo of living.
