TEACHING EXPERIENCE

American International School of Guangzhou Guangzhou, China (2003-2008)

Responsible for teaching Physical Education, Humanities and Life Skills to Middle School students.

As well as fulfilling my duties in the classroom, I supported and fostered the community spirit of the school.
During my post at AISG, I

Organized and participated in the annual Terry Fox Run


Organized the faculty build for Habitat for Humanity
Chaperoned and helped organize events when the school hosted ACAMIS events
Helped organize Grade 7 & 8 China trips as well as chaperone on both Middle school and high school
trips.
Was a Grade 6 classroom advisor.
Implemented Curriculum development using Atlas Rubicon Software.
Coached championship winning touch rugby squad.
Was the After School Activities Coordinator.

Fu Li Middle School Panyu, China (2003-2008)

Responsible for teaching English to Native Chinese Speaking students and teachers.

Y.M.C.A. Camp Director Ottawa, Canada (1995)

Co-ordinated and trained staff to develop programs for their children


Full accountability of approximately one hundred 5 and 6 year old girls and boys
Provided specialized programming to integrate special needs children into daily programs
Acted as a liaison between staff members and parents.
Provided encouragement and feedback to staff regarding their programs and practices.
Activities included kayaking, arts and crafts, singing, hiking and sports.

Hockey School Instructor-Coach Toronto, Canada (1990-1993)


Leaside Hockey Club

Development of programs and drills to enhance the enjoyment of the game of hockey
Different skill levels were addressed (new skater - competitive hockey player)
Worked with children to establish the fundamentals of learning to skate and play hockey
