Executive Summary
We all know that Cotabato City is inhabited by individuals of different cultures

and religious backgrounds. We considered using a business entity that sells products that
could promote the places wide array of culture. This includes the lifestyle of Muslim
citizens, particularly the Muslim women, in wearing dresses, sashes, inauls and veils.
We considered using the R&R Shoppe as our adopted business unit because it is
ideal and its products promotes the citys strong culture, which is essential in improving
the citys tourism at the same time. This kind of business is being encouraged by the
Cotabatenos because majority of the residents in Cotabato City are of Muslim heritage
and would surely appreciate the product that can help them express their culture and
religion through fashion.
The business began by allocating funds for the freight expenses of the products
bought from the other countries, which is highly expensive. Despite the high starting
expenses the products sold by the said business is still reasonable and at the same time
can still meet the expectations of the consumers about purchasing a high-quality product
that they can use for a long period of time.
Though it is not yet a large business entity, the R&R Shoppe caters high-quality
fashion products whose products and materials that composed it are being imported from
other countries. Besides, its location is accessible to all consumers. It also resides
together with other business entities selling the same product.
Though they have the capacity to attract customers, like the other business
establishments the R&R Shoppe also faces threats in their business, this is being detailed
further, including its strengths and opportunities that they face since their business began
its operation.

Situation Analysis
Since the R&R Shoppe is located at Barter Trade there are lots of competitors
whose products are quite similar to our products. With that the competitors sells their
products in lower price than ours, even though its only a simulation. The R&R Shoppe
sometimes cannot lower their price, because they have investors and there are imported
and the tools in making it is high-standard. The position of R&R Shoppe in the market
place is already known because it is already been introduce a decades ago. Thats why the
products of the business are in demand and it can attract many buyers.

Market Summary
The R&R Shoppe (Barter Trade) is already known in nationwide where you can

buy souvenirs and imported products in cheaper prices. Muslim women in all ages are
one of the targets. They are known to have a fashion in wearing their veils. Every time
there is a new design that comes out they tend to buy it and be in trend. R&R Shoppe also
target those people who belong to upper class, middle class and lower class. Although
their main product is veils they also sell an assorted product that suits the taste of
customers.

The R&R Shoppe serves variety of collection of imported and native products such
as Thailand Clothes, Batiks, and Indonesian Shirts, dress and veils that caters a Muslim
and non-Muslim customers. Aside from that, R&R Shoppe are surely high quality
products because the materials used are not just ordinary. They used a high standard
material thats why they are all durable

2.4 Product Offering


R&R Shoppe offers high quality products that suits every customers taste. The inauls are
originally made in Maguindanao. Inauls are the pride of Maguindanaons. This cloth is made in
thread and woven in different beautiful and colorful designs using only the hands. Colors and
designs may vary to availability of the threads and choice of the customers. It can also be use as
a gown or decorations in celebrations. Another product is the Thailand Cloth also known
Malong. This product is already has a position in market. The product is already had proven
and tested. The Thailand Cloth is 100% cotton that makes you comfortable when you use it. The
product proved its durability and non fading cloth that takes time to fade. Another R&R Shoppe
product is the veils. The veils are the major product of R&R Shoppe. As we recall the business is
located in the place where the majority of the population are Muslims. It has different varieties
that can attract the taste and preferences of the target customers. The product is easy and
comfortable to use. It comes with a different styles and different colors. Purchase of these

Our pricing is based on the size and designs of the product. We offer discount
whenever there is a wholesale and partial payment. if there is a sudden increase in
demand of the products the price will also increases.

Our market is institute at the Barter Trade near the Estosan Grand Hotel.
Whenever there are visitors its very convenient for them to come to our place to buy
souvenirs and other products.

The distribution channel is mostly direct selling which the sales agent uses
its personal asset of encouraging a customer. In addition, R&R Shoppe expands
its channel through the help of internet, where theyre having online selling.

The products which R&R sells are clothes and accessories. It composed of highquality Thailand dress, sashes, Inaul, Indonesian shirts, and veils.

The price of our products is at the range of 25-3000Php. If theres a sudden
increase of demand the price also increases.

3.5.3 Place
The place of our distribution is mostly done in the store which is found in the
Barter section. Also we distribute through E-commerce by the help of social medias.

The form of our promotion is mostly through sales agents because they already
have their contacts which they already knew. Also using internet, the products are
promoted through social medias.

We have identified various weaknesses that the product may encounter and they
are as follows:

second weakness, the company must consider its competitors since they sell identical products.
They can make use different tactics to compete with other firm. As the business participates in
the market, we have these unexpected circumstances like fire. They may have fire extinguisher in
their store to prevent fire since the products are made from light weight materials. We also
identified crisis, imitations, unsold products, and defected products as weaknesses of R&R
Shoppe. We cannot avoid crisis and this is where imitating the products exist but the firm

responds to this by giving the customers the right information about the product, that they sell
authentic and a high quality products. Unsold and factory defected products on the other hand is
a common weakness of a business. With this, the firm can make other product out of these
unsold and defected products to maximize profit.

Here are the threats we recognize as we observe with marketing the product of
R&R Shoppe to the market:
a) Customers who dont like non air conditioned establishments because in their view point,
the products are expensive.
b) Customers who prefer to buy in malls and chose those products which have a brand.
There are some customers that are very particular in terms of brand name not in the
quality of the product. So with this, the firm can still compete and change the perspective
of buyers towards the products that they are selling.
c) Competition from products who already have a position to the market especially products
with famous labels. In contrast with the second threat, its not easy to compete with the
existing products that have been known to the public. To cater this kind threat the firm
may use sales talk to convince the customer to purchase their products.

Our product could be implemented in the market with proper placing of ads.
Since, this is an existing product, our customers have the idea of it but it is not
enough for our business will be known. We can have our peers to endorse or
recommend our product to other people for them to have the information of
what we are selling. Also, with proper designation of work and proper
management, our products will exist in the market. The work designation is

Investors. We need investors to put up our market. Theyre the one


who provide capital other than ours to suffice the needs of our
business.
Manager organizes its employees and the responsible in setting the
objectives for the business. He shall motivate his employees to work
harder and to create team out of his people. His communication skill
is a must since his subordinates will do what has been tasked for
them by him.
Supervisor. His primary role is an observer. He must watch the
employees job performance to ensure that all necessary tasks are
completed in accordance with specifications and deadlines.
Sales representative would sell products or services. If youre good
at persuading and negotiating then you might enjoy this job. Youll
be using your excellent communication skills to deal with broad
range of customers. You would also need to be confident and have
the resilience to carry on when customers turn you down.
