[Structural Analysis]
;Page 1 - Units
ROW 1=Information about the current structure is listed here. This is a read-onl
y page. If a new structure is being created, the number of nodes, members and su
pports will be zero.
;Page 2 - Node Coordinates
ROW 2=Specify the user node # followed by the X, Y, and Z coordinates for the no
de. The unit specified in the last column will apply to all the nodes.
;Page 3 - Member Incidences
ROW 3=Specify the user member # followed by the starting (Node A) and ending (No
de B) node numbers. Next, input the beta angle for the member.
;Page 4 - Member Properties
ROW 4=Choose a country's steel table. Next, select the cross-section type. Final
ly, choose the appropriate size within this section type.
;Page 5 - Material Properties
ROW 5=Specify the modulus of elasticity (E) and density for the material. Next,
input the coefficient of thermal expansion (Alpha) followed by the Poisson ratio
. Poisson's ratio is used to calculate the shear modulus. The default values pro
vided are those for steel.
;Page 6 - Member Releases
ROW 6=Check the degrees of freedom (DOF) to be RELEASED at the starting end (Nod
e A) of the member.
ROW 7=Check the degrees of freedom (DOF) to be RELEASED at the ending end (Node
B) of the member.

ROW 8=Check the degrees of freedom (DOF) to be RESTRAINED on this node. For exam

ed support), check all the boxes.
;Page 8 - Load Choices
ROW 9=To create a new load case, choose "New Load Case". To add a load item to a
n existing load case, choose "Add Load to Existing Load Case". To edit/update a
previously entered load item, choose "Edit Existing Loads in Load Case". To dele
te an existing load item from a load case, choose "Delete Existing Loads in Load
Case". Options also extend for Load Combinations. If you are finished with load
ing the structure, choose "Finished Loading".
;Page 9 - Load Case/Comb. Name
ROW 10=Enter a new load case/combination name. All load cases will be internally
numbered starting with the number one (1). Thus, if this is the second load cas
e with an associated name "Live Load on Roof", the output will refer to it as "2
:Live Load on Roof".
;Page 10 - Add/Edit/Delete Load
ROW 11=Choose the load case in which to add/edit/delete a load item.
;Page 12 - Assign
ROW 13=Check the load items from the appropriate load cases to attach to a node.
The first column has the node numbers listed. If a load case has no load items
listed, it means that there are no joint or nodal loads defined for that load ca
se.
ROW 14=Check the load items from the appropriate load cases to attach to a membe

ems listed, it means that there are no member loads defined for that load case.
[Lateral Force Distribution on Shear Walls (General)]
ROW 1=Specify coordinates of the CG, length, height, angle of inclination and th

ft corner of the diaphragm as the origin of the coordinate system. "X" increases

to the right and "Y" increases upwards.

ROW 2=Specify unit weight, Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio for the material
of shearwall no %s. You may only input the relative Young's Modulus. For example
, for Clay Masonary, Em=700f'm; for Concrete Masonary, Em=900f'm and for Normal
weight concrete, Ec=57000*sqrt(fc). Poisson ratio for masonary is 0.25 and for n
ormal weight concrete is 0.17
ROW 3=Specify the location of the opening from the start of shearwall, length of
