INTRODUCTION
This is a program that has been designed to provide a complete
automated solution to the Tour & travel Agencies. This program
includes all basic operations that take place in tour & travel Agencies,
which help to develop Traveling activities. It store / gives information
about its areas of activity in the tour & travel industry, clients, and
details of recent projects / package.
A Client can check various details about hotel, package, flight and bus.
A Client can check the details of hotel that includes location, city, area

etc. Client can also check rooms that are vacant in which category, area
and location. A Client can opt for various packages provided by the
agency i.e. what type of packages, and what are the facilities available in
which package also Client can make the booking.
Client is some of the most fickle consumers around, and so innovation is
vital for an industry which needs to help people enjoy themselves.
(Innovation and Technology) The goal is to apply latest technology in
the Tour & travel Agencies and to provide a very quick service to the
booking process and saves the time that was too long in case of manual
recording. The Centralized database stores all information related to
booking and also stores the information regarding the reservation of
hotels, transport and the customers. Data storage is a very difficult task.
It is designed to help the travel agency to perform daily duties and
transaction. Members satisfaction is the foremost priority of this
program.
This system uses C++ as a front-end tool and Data File Handling for
Storing Data and manipulating the data storage.

OBJECTIVES & SCOPE


The main objective of developing this kind of program is to apply the
Information Technology in the Travelling agency industry and to provide
staff as well as Clients a well-maintained information structure. Every
industry wants to give the best service to the Client and this is one of the
main objectives to develop the product.
The Primary objectives behind the development of the Tour & travel
Management System are as follows:

Chosen ?
Selecting a particular topic is both an interesting and a difficult task. For
the selection of a particular project topic proper and clear and
understanding of the topic chosen is required. We are familiar with the
topic chosen and we have some working idea about the system. We also
used to get different information about Tour & Travel from different
Website like makemytrip.com, expedia.co.in as far as booking is

concerned we used to make booking online as well as through


reservation counters for our different family members in the past so we
were comfortable selecting this topic.

Problems with the existing


System

The problems with the current manual systems are :

Slow processing of the System

Lot of Paper wastage

Lot of data redundancy( Same data values are stored


at more than one location)

Slow and poor service to the existing clients

Does not provide online processing facility
Does not provide printed bills or reports
Limited for small organizations

Conclusion
Tour & Travel management system can be applied in all types of Tour
& Travel agency. It is not bound to any specific agency. The use of this
application will result in better Customer service and faster processing.
The Tour & Travel management system after some modification can be
put on the internet and this way on line booking for the hotel,
transportation type can take place. Moreover the tourist sitting at home
may know about the facilities and services that are being offered by the
agency.
The program is very useful and easy to use and has been designed
keeping in view the complete functioning of the agency. The reports on
different requirements can easily be generated in seconds.
