RAK Maritime City
With 65 kilometres of coastline along the Gulf and close proximity to the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, Ras Al Khaimahs maritime
legacy is part of the Emirates culture. For many years the UAEs fourth largest, and northernmost Emirate has continued to serve as a major
international maritime trading hub between continents. Today a modern network of roads, airports, and proposed rail projects provides a state
of the art logistics infrastructure that links the ports of Ras Al Khaimah with the rest of the region, and a key component to the rulers economic
roadmap that will see the Emirate as an important shipping centre and major trans-shipment hub in the Gulf.
