Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to
sift all of you as wheat. But I have
prayed for you, Simon that your faith
may not fail. And when you have
turned back, strengthen your
brothers. But he replied, Lord, I
am ready to go with you to prison
and to death. Jesus answered, I
tell you, Peter, before the rooster
crows today, you will deny three

2. Church as
Communion
-
The Church is
united by our
common
practices and is
composed of
people of faith
who are unified
by their
engagement in
Gods Spirit
through Christ
3. Church as
Sacrament
-
The church is a
visible sign of
Gods loving
presence in the
world. It is the
distinct sign of
the Grace of
Christ in the
Christian
population.
4. Church as Herald
John 15:5
I am the vine; ayou are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and
I in him, he it is that bbears much
fruit, for apart from me you can do
nothing.
Acts 20:7

when we were gathered together to
break bread.
Acts 2:38
Matthew 18:20

The hierarchy
of the Church
starts from
the Pope,
Cardinals,
Archbishops,
Bishops,
Priests,
Deacons and
the Laity.
The Pope is
the temporal
leader
and
spiritual
pastor of the
Catholic
Church.
There are
prayer
meetings and
organizations
in many
places that
gather
together for
their faith in
God.
Every Sunday,
we attend the
Holy mass and
strengthen
the bond as a
family

Every Catholic

laymen and
serve others not
only self benefit.
6. Church as
community of
Disciples
-
Follow
completely the
footprints of
Jesus. As a
community, we
should follow his
teachings and
actions
Acts 6-7
Stephen was chosen as one the
Deacons. He is a man full of Gods
grace and power and performed
great wonders among the people. He
spread Gods Word and then because
of opposition was stoned to death.
He became the first martyr.
John 13:5

basin and began to wash his
disciples feet, drying them with the
towel that was wrapped around
him.
John 13:3-5
Acts 11:26
