Cleric Cad Roll Out.

As Im sure everyone is aware the new Cleric Cad system was rolled
out at Norwich EOC on the 17th February.
Following on from this it has become evident that when details of a
call have not been received crews have been pressing clear on the
MDT. On the new Cleric system this causes the incident to
disappear from the dispatch list & therefore effectively closes the
incident.
Can we be reminded do not press clear to try & re send details but
contact EOC via radio or message on the MDT.
Many thanks.
Stroke Care Bundle Pathway.
Whilst we are completing most of the stroke pathway effectively, can we be reminded that
as soon as we suspect a patient is suffering from a suspected stroke that the patient be blue
lighted to the nearest receiving stroke unit (other observations being completed en route)
to try and achieve the call to stroke unit <60mins.
From data collated last year 97% of suspected patients are receiving the appropriate care
bundle but we are falling short on the call time.
If patient does not meet the criteria e g unknown onset time then please record this on
EPCR.

New Clinical Assessment and Treatment Hub Pilot (CATH) launch!!!

Good News!!! Following in-depth discussions we have now been given the goahead for a Clinical Assessment Treatment Hub which will be piloted at NorthWalsham Hospital from Monday 29th February for 3 weeks.
The Hub is designed to support the GP triage line thats already up and running
in EOC. So if your patient is in the North Norfolk CCG area (from Walsham to
Fakenham) and cant be seen by their own GP, they can potentially be referred
to the hospital Hub to see a GP/Nurse/ECP thus providing an alternative pathway to A&E. The Hub will be available between 0900-1800 and is accessed
through the GP triage line that you already use. The Hub also provides transport home, via ERS, which will free up front line vehicles in North Norfolk. This
has the potential to be a great success and should help alleviate long journeys
into NNUH from the Coast and keep patients within the confines of their
nearby community.
Please do utilise this service. I will keep you posted on progress.
