My Neighbours
My name is Halim. I live with my family in Taman Indah. We have many neighbours. I
would like to tell you about two of our neighbours.
On the right of our house lives Encik Ganesan. He is a teacher at a nearby Secondary
Scool. His wife, Puan Selvy is also a teacher, but she teaches at a Primary School. He
goes to school on a motorbike but his wife drives a car to work.
On our left is Encik Andik. He is married to Puan Indigo. They are from Sarawak. Encik
Andik works as a clerk at a bookshop in town. Puan Indigo does not work, and she is a
housewife. Encik Andik, like Puan Selvy, drives to work.
Encik Ganesan and Puan Selvy has three children. They are Maniam, Selvam and Citra.
They all go to my school. Encik Andik and Puan Indigo have two children, they are
David and Shasha. David is in secondary school but Shasha goes to the same primary
school as I do. We are classmates.
I like my neighbours because they are helpful and kind. They often help us to keep the
neighbourhood clean. The neighbours children and I usually play together in the nearby
playground. We often have visits from them.
