A marketing version of Sun Tzus Art of War 2) Diffusion of Innovations Everett Rogers The idea of PLC and the concept of Innovators, Early Adopters and Followers comes from this book 3) Positioning - Al Ries and Jack Trout Although this book was originally published 20 or so years ago, it is a classic. 4) The Innovators Dilemma by Clayton Christensen Focuses on the idea of disruptive innovation and the need to understand latent needs among consumers. 5) The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell Not a marketing book but highlights when ideas, products etc. take-off 6) Ogilvy on Advertising by David Ogilvy A classic book important even in todays world with web analytics and social media. 7) Blue Ocean Strategy by Chan Kim 10-12 years back, when this book got published, this book (and this idea) seemed extremely radical.
