requirements
and the evaluation of alternative solutions

is the general and detailed specification of a
computer based solution that was selected
during systems analysis
Design specifications are typically sent to
computer programmers for systems
implementation

and designing information systems to implement these

It is important to understand and develop through
practice the skills needed to successfully design and
implement new information systems.

System Analyst
studies the problems and needs of an organisation
to determine how people, methods and computer
technology can best accomplish improvements for the
business
when computer technology is used the analyst is
responsible for the efficient capture of data from its
business source, the flow of that data to the computer,
the processing and storage of that data by the
computer and the flow of useful and timely information
back to business users

analysts tried to build wonderful systems
without understanding the organization.
