Animal behavior, invertebrate ecology, reproductive behavior, mate choice, evolution, sexual selection, sexual conflict,
learning and memory, bayesian updating, Drosophila melanogaster; community ecology, species diversity, dominance
structure, impact of exotic invasive species; plant-insect interactions; conservation biology, GIS; scientific literacy, outreach,

Designed and implemented research program to study the effects of social experience on the consistency of
reproductive behaviors and personalities in male Drosophila melanogaster
Utilized video analysis to quantitatively characterize courtship and mating behaviors
Research Assistant
Analyzed and managed data from long term (>20 year) desert ecology study examining relationships between
community diversity, temporal stability, dominance, and exotic invasive species.
