INTRODUCTION:
Inti Raymi (In Quechua sun and moon party), formerly called
Wawa Inti Raymi (celebration child sun), was an Inca and Andean
ceremony in honor of Inti (the sun god), each winter solstice was
made (24 June in the southern hemisphere). The current
inhabitants of the Andean countries, with the presence of national
and foreign visitors, continue to carry out this tradition, now
considered a ceremony attractions.

SUN AND MOON PARTY


SUN AND MOON PARTY in Quechua language means: Inti Raymi
killa; It is the first International Festival of folk dance with a partner,
organized and held in Lima-Peru annually.
It was the most important religious holiday during the time of the
Incas. Until today it stills representing every June 24th in the
architectural complex of Sacsayhuaman.
Currently the Inti Raymi is a play, but also one of the most
evocative traditional manifestations of their national identity
because it symbolizes the values and memories of the past.
Each year, in the city of Lima; Innovation and tradition merge with
the staging of an amazing show, with dancers from different
countries of Latin America and the world, with more than 50 artists
on stage.
To the beat of the music airs, delegates of its four parading with
typical clothing, while ustas, pallas, and coyas progress in rolling
columns. Suddenly the Inca lets himself seen, carried on a litter
and accompanied by an entourage of dried apricots and other
dignitaries who walk respectable distance from him.
While the pututus sound, bugles and flutes, the Inca stands, he
extends his arms towards the horizon and pays tribute to Inti by
raising two large gold vessels filled with chicha.

CONCLUSION:
The Inti Raymi still is celebrated like syncretic rite in many Andean
communities. In the inter - Andean northern alley Ecuador , for
example , the set of related festivities spanning the entire month of
June and part of July , having each city its own rites and customs,
and becoming paralyzed daily life as a result of celebrations ,
taking the avenues night and day.
