Description

Features

The QSX15 engine is designed to meet the U.S.


Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 Interim
and European Union (EU) Stage IIIA genset emission
standards. The QSX15 Tier 4i engine utilizes cooled
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Cummins High
Pressure Injection (XPI) fuel system and a variable
geometry turbocharger (VGT). A Cummins particulate
filter (DPF) exhaust aftertreatment system is required to
meet the mandated emission standards.

Cummins Extra High Pressure Injection (XPI) Fuel System


Most capable common-rail fuel system utilized on a heavy-duty
engine, enabling faster, smoother power delivery with lower fuel
consumption.
Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) - A state of the art, efficient
exhaust diesel particulates filter that reduces particulate matter
by over 90%.
Turbocharger System A new electronic variable geometry
turbocharger (VGT) is used, which is able to continuously vary
airflow boost and manage the EGR.

The 15 litre, six-cylinder QSX15 engine is ideally suited


to both open and containerised applications in static or
portable genset equipment. It can be matched to meet
specific duty cycle and operating conditions of any
genset.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Proven cooled


EGR system that reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
Crankcase Breaker Utilizes a dripless crankcase breather
system.

This engine has been built to comply


with CE certification.

Electronic Control System Provides faster processing power


and increased memory capability while allowing seamless
electronic interface to other systems.

This engine has been designed in


facilities certified to ISO9001 and
manufactured in facilities certified to
ISO9001 or ISO9002.

Emergency Standby Power (ESP):


Applicable for supplying power to varying
electrical load for the duration of power
interruption of a reliable utility source.
Emergency Standby Power (ESP) is in
accordance with ISO 8528. Fuel Stop power in
accordance with ISO 3046, AS 2789,
DIN 6271 and BS 5514.
Limited-Time Running Power (LTP):
Applicable for supplying power to a constant
electrical load for limited hours. Limited-Time
Running Power (LTP) is in accordance with
ISO 8528.
Prime Power (PRP):
Applicable for supplying power to varying
electrical load for unlimited hours. Prime
Power (PRP) is in accordance with ISO 8528.
Ten percent overload capability is available in
accordance with ISO 3046, AS 2789,
DIN 6271 and BS 5514.
Base Load (Continuous) Power (COP):
Applicable for supplying power continuously to
a constant electrical load for unlimited hours.
Continuous Power (COP) in accordance with
ISO 8528, ISO 3046, AS 2789, DIN6271 and
