BABAYLAN is a Filipino terminology for those users of Mutya and other natural mystic objects.
He uses rituals like the Paghahain or Pagsasagda. To invoke the engkantos or the common
spirits. This is so to be friendly with them by serving them foods through Hain or Sagda. The
Babaylan uses the Agimat (another name of Mutya) to protect himself or by making himself
INVINSIBLE to all kinds of enemy weapons. Mostly he uses HERBALS to cure his patients and
the Paghahain for the spirits will help them cure the patient. He strictly follows the rules of natures
and procedures hence by doing so it was sometimes considered by others as superstitious belief.

EXAMPLES OF THESE SUPERTITIOUS BELIEFS ARE:

1. Stop eating when someone come-up when someone goes down, when someone bring
food. The babaylan pretend he have finished eating then start again.
2. If you are late and the group is already eating, dont join, let them finish first before you
eat, if you want to join the group, get the food separately from the kitchen and not from the table
then join the group in the table.
3. Do not put over the cold rice above the new one. If your purpose is to warm the rice mix
it from the start.
4. When are lying down, do not let any part of your body be walked on/stepped through
by anyone even your wife and kids. It is the spirit in you that is being stepped down.
5. Do not let your self be urinated/dirt by any animal. This is very bad omen to the
babaylan because human is a supreme, respected being not a waste bowl.
The above mentioned are very sensitive for the babaylan for they are affected bit in
spiritual and material life. If they violate these rules of natural phenomenon, the negative energy
will hunt them any where they go to put their life in misery as mentioned in Isaiah 8:19-22.

HOW TO TAKE CARE/MAINTAIN THE AGIMAT

The mutya or agimat are different from the oraciones/divine words/power words. These
things are of God while the agimats are considered to be the power of engkantos/fairies, or
common spirits therefore do not mix it.
1. In some instances the white stones can be mix with the divine but never the colored
one.

2. Avoid all the agimats to include the white one to be blessed/ consecrated thru divine
words. It will lose its power and die. If you have them both, threat them separately.
3. To feed the Divine Words is through its designated processes of prayers, while the
agimats is through material food and is scheduled every first quarter of the moon, in half moon
and in full moon.
4. If the mutya no is not for use, put in a glass of water and if possible drink the water the
following morning it addends your power and the mutyas generally likes to be in water.
5. Give name to every agimat, it distinguishes one from the other.
6. After and before the pagsagda, or before using it wipe the mystic stones with ginger
and if possible Suobin ng kamangyan it make them strong, do not use the ensenso or do not
combine it with kamangyan for suob in rituals, it will distract its spirit.
7. All the mutyas should be placed on cloth or kundiman red, and those that came from
human should be placed in black cloth, this will distinguish the engkanto power to human souls.
8. Avoid bringing your mystic stones to lamay sa patay, or internments it will lose its
power.
9. When you are in the church avoid the holy eucharis or pagtaas ng ostsa. Get out from
the church immediately.
10. When someone is dying, put the mutya away from that place because when the
person loses its breath the power of the agimat loses too.
Oracion or power words can be traced back in earlier times of ancient Egypt where magical
words, chants, hymns are dedicated to their Gods. The Christian Bible (old testament) contains
power words or special prayers which have the power to heal, cast out evil spirits and protect a
person against his enemies.
They were brought to the Philippines by the Jesuits during the early period of the Christian
occupancy of our islands which lasted almost 400 years.

The power of the oracion essentially boils down to the power of ones mind and ones strong
belief and not inherently in the oracion itself. If you truly believe without doubt the oracion really
works then it will, because the mind knows no limits, aside from those it accepts. ~JTL

Discipline and responsibility is primarily significant when using oracion. It should be used with
caution, moderation with an open- balanced mind.

Basic uses of Oracion (positive lang muna)

2. Cure of Psychic Build- Up

3. Combat for Psychic Attack (Offense /Defense) for self and patient /victim (covers protection
and shielding [poder /pambakod], casting out evil spirits /possession )
4. Projection of Image of Attacker
5. Medicine or Alternative Healing Modality by using power words for psychic and natural illness.

Ang tawag sa mga ora ng lihim na mga aral ay pig latin kasi karamihan ay bastardized latin o
chopsuey na latin at tagalog ..Latin grammar is blenderized..napulot lang natin sa mga

Effects of Oracion to ones self and patient.

based on personal experience and interviews, power words usually have a deep healing effect.
Our energies may it be low (during sickness, fatigue, depression, emotional or physical pain etc)
or balanced have an effect on our physical bodies. Some upon reading power words would have
mild symptoms of headache, stomach ache and in rare cases fever, body malaise, loose bowel
movement (similar to purging). Parang kine-cleanse ka. It raises your vibratory energy or aura.
This lasts to as fast as 5-10 minutes to 3 days to 1 week depending on each individual's current
energy state.

If one is stating a particular oracion to protect oneself for almost a week to 1 month, symptoms
gradually disappear. And when you don't feel these symptoms your energy is already raised in a
