Bibliography

Books

Arnold, James R. The Road to Rebellion. Vol. 1. Danbury: Grolier Educational, 2002. Print. The
Revolutionary War.
This source was a great place to look for inciting incidents that caused the Boston Tea
Party. It gave many good facts relating to the American Revolution as well.
Bohannon, Lisa Frederiksen. The American Revolution. Minneapolis: Lerner Publications, 2004.
Print.
This book provided me with fast facts that applied to my project. I did not find the book
as helpful as many of the other sources I gathered.
Lansford, Tom, and Thomas E. Woods. Exploring American History: From Colonial times to
1877. Vol. 1. New York: Marshall Cavendish Reference, 2008. Print.
This source has been extremely helpful because of the detailed table of contents, and
every page is loaded with information that is directly focused on my projects subject. It
is the best way to easily sift through meaty paragraphs of facts and dates, while providing
a smooth read in turn.
Lansford, Tom, and Thomas E. Woods. Exploring American History: From Colonial times to
1877. Vol. 4. New York: Marshall Cavendish Reference, 2008. Print.
This book gave me easy-to-find facts that were very important in history. Instead of using
up pages with extra words and fancy pictures, it only held beefy facts with strong
foundations.

Websites
Primary

"Roots of the Revolution." Roots of the Revolution. Wikispaces, n.d. Web. 8 Jan. 2017.
This website provided me with an original picture of a document. The document declared
that the Intolerable Acts were enacted.
Secondary

Chancemill. "File:Boston Tea Party Currier Colored.jpg - Wikipedia." Wikipedia Commons.

N.p., 4 Nov. 2016. Web. 9 Dec. 2016. Picture. This website provided a great picture of the
Boston Tea Party in action. It showed all the tea being dumped into the ocean, while the British
soldiers tried to oppress the colonists.

"Parliament passes the Boston Port Act." History.com. A&E Television Networks, n.d. Web. 9
Dec. 2016.
This website helped me learn about the British parliament. It told me about the acts
passed by the British, and their effects on the colonists. I also learned why the colonists
were so outraged at the new taxation laws.

"Intolerable Acts." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, n.d. Web. 7 Dec. 2016.

The Intolerable Acts were a very big part in American history. They made the colonists
eventually split from Great Britain, and this website explained the acts and reasons
perfectly. I was able to easily gather useful information without having to sort through
long pages of unneeded facts.

"Administration of Justice Act (1774)." Bingo for Patriots. N.p., n.d. Web. 8 Dec. 2016.
This website taught me about the Administration of Justice Act, which was one of the
most important of the four Intolerable Acts. It gave a brief summary that allowed me to
quickly find the facts I needed and get to work.
"Boston Tea Party." Boston Tea Party. N.p., n.d. Web. 04 Dec. 2016.
This website provided me with the image that fit my website's background. It was the
perfect iconic painting of the Boston Tea Party.
