Setup Steps For Move Orders In Detail:
Set Up Organization Parameters

Navigate: Inventory>Setup>Organizations>Parameters
Move Order Time Out:
Use if you want to require approvals for the Move Orders in your
organization.
Time-Out Period:

The length of time, in days, you will let your Move Orders sit in a pendingapproval queuing status.
a. After one time-out period, a reminder is sent to the approver.
b. After two time-out periods, the Move Order Time-Out Action is
performed.
c. The Time-Out Action is, either Approve or Reject.
d. If the Time-Out period is 0, all Move Orders are automatically
approved.
e. If the Time-Out period is left blank, the setting defaults to 0.
Item Level Set Up Planner

Navigate: Inventory>Items>Master (Organization) Items


Set Up Planner
Define a planner for the item in the General Planning tab of the Define Item
form. If you do not designate a planner, the Move Order will be automatically
approved.

Create Notification List


Navigate: Inventory>Notification List
Notification List
When the Move Order has been approved or rejected, a courtesy e-mail is
sent to the Engineering Change Order (ECO) approval list, used for Move
Orders notification list as well, that is attached to the Move Order source and
destination Subinventory. You do not need to have Oracle Engineering
installed to use this feature. The ECO Approval form is supplied with Oracle
Inventory even if Oracle Engineering is installed in a Share mode.

Picking Rules
Navigate: Inventory>Setup>Rules>Picking
Move Orders use the standard picking rules of Oracle Inventory to source
material.
Set Up Item-Subinventory-Locator Defaults

Navigate: Inventory>Setup>Transactions>Item Transaction Defaults


Locator Defaults
If a Subinventory or item is locator controlled, the user creating the Move
Order should specify a destination locator. If they do not supply this
information, the detailing process will use the default set up here and
avoiding any delays in the Move Order process due to errors from missing
data
