Want to be a BJMP Jail Officer?

QUALIFICATIONS:
A natural born Filipino citizen
Any Baccalaureate degree holder
Civil Service Eligible and/or RA 1080
Single or Married
Between 21 to 30 years old
Height: Male 162.5 cm (5 ft 4 in) Female (5 ft 2 in)
Weight of not more or less than five (5) kilograms of the standard weight
Physically and mentally fit for training
No Criminal, Administrative, or Civil Cases pending before any tribunal or court of justice and no other
derogatory record/s

Legal Mandate
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology was created pursuant to Section 60 to 65, Chapter
V of the Republic Act 6975 , which took effect on January 2, 1991. As mandated, the Jail Bureau shall
operate under the reorganized Department of the Interior and Local Government as a line bureau.

BFP
FOR INTERESTED FIRE OFFICER 1 APPLICANTS:
Submit your Application Folders to the Office of the Recruitment and Selection Section, BFP National Headquarters, Agham Road,
Quezon City, NCR not later than May 6, 2015.
The folder shall contain the following:
a. Application Letter indicating the position and item applying for;
b. One (1) Handwritten Personal Data Sheet (PDS) usng black ballpen only. No sign pen;
c. One (1) Photocopy of Authenticated Transcript of Records and College Diploma;
d. One (1) Photocopy of Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility (CSC/PRC);
e. One (1) Photocopy of Certificate of Live Birth issued by the National Statistics Office;
f. One (1) Photocopy of Certificate of Marriage issued by the National Statistics Office (for married female applicants);
g. One (1) Photocopy of NBI Clearance: and
h. Photocopy of Certificates of Training (if any)

The quota for the NUP was intended to be utilized as crime registrar in the police stations. Hence, all appointees to the said
positions must be assigned at the police stations of their appointment.
Moreover, all interested and qualified applicants are required to submit two (2) sets of folders containing the following duly
authenticated documents by the issuing agency / office with the corresponding receipt of payments, to wit:
a)Letter of Application;
b)Duly Accomplished Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212 Revised 2005);
c)Transcript of Record and Diploma;
d)Certificate of Eligibility;
e)Certificate of Training;
f)Certificate of Employment, if any;
g)NBI Clearance (1 original and 1 authenticated copy);
h)NSO Birth Certificate (1 original and 1 authenticated copy); and
i)NSO Marriage Certificate, if applicable (1 original and 1 authenticated copy)

S stands for SERVICE WITH HUMILITY


A public servant should be clothed with humility so as to be able to serve the public fully without discrimination. One has to possess
this value so as to be able to accommodate and afford every clientele with the courtesy that they deserve. Service with Humility is
service with a heart for the welfare of the public.
M stands for MANAGEMENT WITH ACCOUNTABILITY
To manage is an easy job; however, to be accountable is what makes its harder. This is what this project aims, to inculcate among
our personnel, the significance of accountability. To manage and be responsible enough of their actions taken.
This is a reminder to every personnel to perform their duties with utmost care and integrity knowing that they are responsible and
will be held responsible for their performance.
Management with Accountability is to perform ones duty not because of obligation but because he/she believes that it is only just
and proper.
Moreover, Management with Accountability is putting the welfare of the public and the organization above of ones personal interest.

I stands for Initiative Coupled with Action


A Police Officer never lack of ideas and initiative when it comes to the betterment of his constituents.
He knows how to make this initiative turns to reality. A Police Officer never ceases to think of ways and means on how to develop
and improve the quality of services rendered to people.
Initiative coupled with action is serving at all costs.
L- stands for LEADERSHIP WITH COMPASSION
Each PNP member is a leader in their community.
To become a good and effective leader, one has to learn the ways and plight of his men so as for him to understand them better.
Knowing your own men, your own community is the best way of moving them into action, getting them on their feet to cooperate in
your every endeavor.
A leader feared by his men is not a true leader, it is not leadership for it is dictatorship, where you deprived your men of initiative and
opportunity to grow and learn from their own experience and mistakes.
Whereas, leadership built on compassion, is a leadership that could move a thousand men to battle knowing that you will get them
out alive.
Leading is moving men not by force but because they believe that you are leading them on the right path.
E stands for EXCELLENCE ORIENTED
Police Regional Office 12 members do not settle for mediocrity.
Big or small, they perform with excellence not to be recognized or praise but simply because they are motivated individuals who
remain true to their oath which is to serve and protect the public at all cost.
As a symbol of embracing these principles is the pin with the words acronym smile on it and the smiley face placed near our heart. It
is done so that we will be always reminded of the principles of Project S.M.I.L.E.
Gone are the days where Police Officers were seen as someone to be afraid of; Gone are the days where Police Officers were
seen as grumpy and unapproachable; today, we welcome the Police Officers of our time whom we can be called friends, brothers,
sisters, and whom we can ran and depend on in times of needs and trouble; from this day on, here in Region 12, we will be
welcomed and served by our Police Officers with a warm and genuine smile on their lips as PRO 12 embarks on PROJECT
S.M.I.L.E, PCSUPT CAMBA said.
Moreover, this concept, pin and tarpaulin is entrusted upon all Provincial and City Directors through their respective Police
Community Relations Officer for them to pass on to their subordinates, that may all the police officers in the entire region will be able
to observe the act of smiling as well as the principles surrounding it. Likewise, it so timely too, to launch this project as they hold
their 23rd PNP Foundation Anniversary where they are entering a new era of Police Service.
