Physiological problems have increased. Fear has been increased. People have

Definition
Though terrorism has no proper definition, yet it can be defined as
The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aim or the
calculated use of violence or threat of violence against civilians in order to
attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature, this is done
through intimidation or coercion or inciting fear.
Causes of terrorism:
Terrorism is caused by many factors including internal and external causes.
o Lack of democracy
o Dehumanization
o Illiteracy
o Unemployment
In Pakistan its roots can be traced backed from late 1999 when the incident
of lal masjid took place. Militants and religious followers got head to head.
The military took over the mosque but all this gave birth to religious
extremism, and since then terrorism has just peaked to its extent in the last
one decade. The religious militants, who were able to escape, rehabilitated in
the tribal areas of Pakistan and they started to plan against the government
because they consider the attack as government against the Islamic rules
and regulations. They have cunning ideas to damage our existence. Their
main target was national security and security agencies in Pakistan.
Sacrifices of Pakistan
Pakistan is fighting against the terrorist but it was a very difficult task to
fight with the enemies within the state. Pakistan has sacrificing greatly and
plies up heavy loss in its war against terror. Pakistan has sacrificed a lot in
the form of loss of lives, loss of monetary, loss of national peace and dignity.
Over 40,000 people have lost their innocent lives in this war from 2001 t0
2014. The loss of precious lives of people, who were not guilty, has made
terrorism the most threatening factor for the national interest of Pakistan.
There have been 3,486 bomb blasts in the country, including 395 major
suicide attacks and 256 drone attacks.
Loss of lives in major suicide attacks:
Economic loss:
Terrorism has affected the Pakistani nation in immense adverse
manner as it has destroyed national economy as well as the national good
will of our country in the eyes of international world. The impacts of terrorism
are brutal and breathtaking on the country as it has destroyed the economy.
The foreign investors have stopped their investment in Pakistan and many
existing projects have been stopped so that they have negative impact on
the economic development of our country and moreover in the affected
areas agriculture
Cost of War on Terror during the last 10 years the direct and indirect cost of
war on terror incurred by Pakistan amounted to $ 67.93 billion or Rs.5037
billion. The costs to the economy is most likely to rise further
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) could not improve and fell by 52 per cent.
Industrial units closed down, workers laid off, capital transferred and
entrepreneurs threatened for life.
Pakistan Cricket Board PCB suffered a loss of 51.22million dollars after attack
on Srilankan cricket team.
Migration:
Due to war on terror, local people of war-ridden areas are migrating to other
areas of Pakistan. Country has seen the largest migration since
independence in 1947. These people have left their homes, businesses,
wealth and property back home. This large invasion of people and their
rehabilitation is an economic trouble for Pakistan. Unemployment is still
widespread and now the question of providing employment to these
migrants has also become a serious alarm. This portion of population is
contributing nothing useful to the national income however they have to be
benefited from it. This unproductive group of people is a growing economic
problem of Pakistan.
Physiological problems have increased. Fear has been increased. People have
got trauma and they feel unsafe and insecure everywhere.
Religious impact:
As Pakistan is an Islamic country but due to terrorism Pakistan has lost its
religious dignity as terrorist are using the name of Islam in the negative and
unlawful way. Negative impact of Islam has been conveyed to the other
people as we know that Islam is a peaceful religion and forbid the war. Allah
says in the Holy book that
You shall not kill any person, for GOD has made life sacred, except in the
course of justice.
The relations of Muslims with other people are based primarily on peace,
mutual respect and trust. The true religion of Islam forbids the killing of
innocent people, irrespective of the cause, religious, political or social beliefs.
Conclusion:
Pakistan is badly infected in fighting the war. It has taken many steps to root
out the terrorists and in spite of these sacrifices Pakistan is told to do more
and has never been encouraged by the international world. Pakistan has paid
the biggest price as compared to any other country but these sacrifices are
not acknowledged by other countries.
