FROM FATHER RICH

The liturgy for the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time invites us to reflect on our
attitude toward guests. Our attitude toward guests is connected with our Faith
and our relationship with God. On earth, God knocks at our door as a Guest.
This is stated very clearly in the Holy Bible: God goes to Abraham as a guest;
Jesus Christ, the Son of God is a guest at Marta’s, Mary’s and Lazarus’ house.
Who is a guest? In the past, a guest was a gift to a house. The host would
stop his daily work and devoted his time to prepare the home with the best food
so that he could enjoy his guest’s visit. The host opened his heart to God be-
cause he opened his heart to a guest. This respect for a guest is religious, bibli-
cal, and evangelical.
God knocks at our doors, but many times we put Him aside because we have
more important things to do. God patiently waits for us, but one day, He will say
that He tried to give us His blessings; but we were too busy for Him.
True hospitality is about filling our hearts with the joy, peace, and goodness
that comes from having a guest in our home.
God is a guest. Let us reflect on what God expects from us and accept Him
with joy, peace, and a clean and open heart because He wants to fill us with KNOCK
His graces and blessings. and the door will be
opened to you

-The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings,

but shorter tempers
-We have bigger houses, but smaller families;
-We have more degrees, but less sense;
-We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life;
-We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted soul;
-We’ve become long on quantity, but short on quality.
It is a time when there is much in the showroom and nothing in the stockroom.

This weekend we welcome Resurrectionist Fathers and we pray for the success of their mission.

God Bless! Fr. Rich

DAYS AND TIMES AVALIABLE_______________________________________________

OD KS. RYSZARDA

Witamy Księży Zmartwychwstańców w naszej parafii i prosimy o modlitwę w intencji
ich misji.
Ks. Ryszard
