TEAM NURSING 2

Team Nursing

Research questions:

Informative paper: How could a nurse effect a patients life by working as a team?

Argumentative paper: Is team nursing more effective?

Nursing is a work of heart said one of my instructors at nursing school. Being a nurse could not

be easy, but it is very rewarding. Working as a nurse also means stepping into persons life to make a

change. A nurse has to be strong, independent, caring and thoughtful. Team nursing is a care model that

requires nurses to work together. It also means having the opportunity to be dedicated to work with a

group of compassionate individuals. Working as a part of the team is very effective due to helping each

other towards a common goal. It is important for the nurses to work as a part of the team to ensure all the

gathered information are accurate and the patient is cared for a proper way. Throughout this research

paper, I will share information about how important working as a team could be effective on a patients

and nurses functioning.

I want to become a nurse because I want to make a change just by simply caring. According to

my experience of where I grew up, medical resources were very limited and many people were never able

to receive proper treatment for their ailments, which caused them to get worse. For example, my grandma

passed away because she didnt receive a proper treatment due to the limited amount of medical supplies.

As I grew older, I decided to do something that could benefit other people. Later, I got into a nurse

assistant program, I learned more about nursing and how could I impact patients life. Pursuing a career

as a registered nurse will provide me with the opportunity to help improve my communitys health quality

conditions. I believe that no matter what the situation could be, you can still make a difference.

Throughout my research on nursing I will learn and share more information that will benefit me and the

reader.

TEAM NURSING 3

For my informative paper, I chose the research question: How could a nurses effect patients life

by working as a team? As researching throughout the databases, I used the search term team nursing,

which was very helpful to find research articles. Even though I have some experience working as a nurse

assistant with a team of other nurses, I still found a lot of interesting things that other nurses shared based

on their experience. I plan to share some of my nursing experience and how it affected my patients. Also,

I will be sharing researches I discovered and how it correlates with my own experience. I also plan to start

research focusing on nurses working as team and how they affect each other. For example, it is stated in

one of the articles, The effectiveness of team nursing was considered by nurses to be influenced

markedly by 'helping each other. (Cioffi, & Ferguson ,Contemporary Nurse, 2009, p.2). I will also

share a research project of how team nursing could develop effectiveness on learning that enable nursing

teams to do better (Timmerman et al. ,2010). There will be a lot of other interesting things provided to the

readers to discover about team nursing effectiveness.

For my argumentative paper, I chose the research question: Is team nursing more effective? Many

nurses wonder what it would be like if they worked by themselves, while others wonder what the benefits

are when working together as a team. To answer those concerns, I will provide some facts on the benefits

of team nursing, team approach, team effectiveness, responsibility, availability of support and

engagement with the multidisciplinary team (Cioffi, & Ferguson, (2009). To support my side of the issue,

I will share an experimental study on how effectiveness nurses could be working as a team, also share

some of the nurses comments on what they thought working as a team (Fairbrother et al., 2010). I will

show both sides of the issue and support my side which is working as a team.

Finally, nursing is not just a job, but it is also a work of heart. I am very excited to research about

nursing and learn a lot of new things. I am also excited to learn more about team nursing how effective

they are working as a team. It is very important for nurses to work together to ensure that patients are

getting the right treatments. Nurses teaming up makes the job easier and patients care more enhanced.

Being a nurse might take a lot of energy, but it is very rewarding. Due to this research, I will be able to

learn new things and use them to help in the future. In the research I found a lot of interesting things that

I did not know about before. I will take advantage of all the articles I read to be prepared for my future

goals.
