    MALIN KUNDANG

    A long time ago. in a small village near the beach in West Sumatra. a woman and her son
    lived. They were Malin Kundang and her mother. Her mother was a single parent because
    Malin Kundangs father had passed away when he was a baby. Malin Kundang had to live
    hard with his mother

    Malin Kundang was a healthy. dilligent. and strong boy. He usually went to sea to catch fish.
    After getting fish he would bring it to his mother, or sold the caught fish in the town. One
    day. when Malin Kundang was sailing. he saw a merchants ship which was being raided by a
    small band of pirates. He helped the merchant. With his brave and power. Malin Kundang
    defeated the pirates.

    The merchant was so happy and thanked to him. In return the merchant asked Malin Kundang
    to sail with him. To get a better life. Malin Kundang agreed. He left his mother alone. Many
    years later. Malin Kundang became wealthy. He had a huge ship and was helped by many
    ship crews loading trading goods. Perfectly he had a beautiful wife too. When lie was sailing
    his trading journey, his ship landed on a beach near a small village. The villagers recognized
    him. The news ran fast in the town: Malin Kundang has become rich and now he is here.
    An old woman ran to the beach to meet the new rich merchant. She was Malin Kundangs
    mother.

    She wanted to hug him, released her sadness of being lonely after so long time.
    Unfortunately, when the mother came. Malin Kundang who was in front of his well dressed
    wife and his ship crews denied meeting that old lonely woman. For three times her mother
    begged Malin Kundang and for three time,s he yelled at her. At last Malin Kundang said to
    her Enough. old woman! I have never had a mother like you. a dirty and ugly woman! After
    that he ordered his crews to set sail. He would leave the old mother again but in that time she
    was fullof both sadness and angriness.

    Finally. enraged. she cursed Malin Kundang that he


    would turn into a stone if he didnt apologize. Malin Kundang just laughed and really set sail
    n the quiet sea. suddenly a thunderstorm came. His huge ship was wrecked and it was too
    late for Malin Kundang to apologize. He was thrown by the wave out of his ship. He fell on a
    small island. It was really too late for him to avoid his curse. Suddenly.
    he turned into a stone.
    Dahulu kala. di sebuah desa kecil dekat pantai di Sumatera Barat. Seorang wanita dan
    anaknya
    hidup. Mereka Malin Kundang dan ibunya. Ibunya adalah seorang single parent Karena
    Malin Kundangs ayah telah meninggal ketika ia masih bayi. Malin Kundang harus hidup
    keras dengan ibunya

    Malin Kundang adalah sehat. dilligent. dan anak laki-laki yang kuat. Dia biasanya
    pergi ke laut untuk menangkap ikan.
    Setelah mendapatkan ikan dia akan membawanya kepada ibunya, atau menjual ikan yang
    ditangkap di kota. Satu
    hari. ketika Malin Kundang berlayar. ia melihat kapal dagang yang sedang diserbu
    oleh
    Band kecil bajak laut. Dia membantu pedagang. Dengan nya berani dan kekuasaan. Malin
    Kundang
    Mengalahkan bajak laut.

    Pedagang itu sangat senang dan berterima kasih kepadanya. Sebagai imbalannya
    pedagang meminta Malin Kundang
    untuk berlayar dengan dia. Untuk mendapatkan kehidupan yang lebih baik. Malin
    Kundang Setuju. Dia meninggalkan ibunya sendirian. Banyak
    bertahun-tahun kemudian. Malin Kundang Menjadi kaya. Dia memiliki kapal besar dan
    dibantu oleh banyak
    awak kapal memuat barang-barang perdagangan. Sempurna dia punya istri yang cantik
    juga. Ketika kebohongan sedang berlayar
    perdagangan perjalanannya, kapalnya mendarat di pantai dekat sebuah desa kecil. Para
    penduduk desa Diakui
    p. Berita itu berlari cepat di kota: "Malin Kundang telah Menjadi kaya dan sekarang
    dia ada di sini".
    Seorang wanita tua berlari ke pantai untuk memenuhi pedagang kaya baru. Dia adalah
    Malin Kundang ini
    ibu.

    Dia ingin memeluknya, dirilis kesedihannya menjadi kesepian setelah waktu begitu
    lama.
    Sayangnya, ketika ibu Datang. Malin Kundang yang berada di depan dengan baik
    berpakaian
    awak kapal dan istrinya membantah pertemuan wanita tua yang kesepian. Selama tiga
    kali ibunya
    memohon Malin Kundang dan selama tiga kali, s ia berteriak padanya. Pada Malin
    Kundang terakhir dikatakan
    nya "Cukup wanita tua.! Aku tidak pernah memiliki seorang ibu seperti Anda. seorang
    wanita kotor dan jelek!" Setelah
    bahwa ia memerintahkan kru untuk berlayar. Dia akan meninggalkan ibu tua lagi tapi
    pada saat itu dia
    fullof adalah baik kesedihan dan angriness.

    Akhirnya. sangat marah. dia mengutuk Malin Kundang bahwa ia


    akan berubah menjadi batu jika dia tidak meminta maaf. Malin Kundang hanya tertawa
    dan benar-benar berlayar
    Di laut tenang. Tiba-tiba badai Datang. Kapal besar nya rusak dan itu terlalu
    terlambat untuk Malin Kundang untuk meminta maaf. Ia dilemparkan oleh gelombang dari
    kapalnya. Dia jatuh pada
    Pulau kecil. Itu benar-benar terlambat baginya untuk menghindari kutukan. Mendadak.
    ia berubah menjadi batu.
    MALIN KUNDANGE
    GOOD morning everybody, the honorable of adjudicator and the member of this house.
    For the first time, let me introduce my self OK my name is Bramanti Nadya Kausara. Im
    from Sokanegara 1 Elementary School. I want to tell you about the story of Malin Kundang.
    Here is the story.
    A long time ago, there was a widow with her only son. They lived in a hut, in a village near
    the sea. They were very poor.
    Malin Kundang is the sons name, thought, if I stay here, i wont have a better life. I have to
    leave this village and look for a job.
    His mother was sad to hear that. But she knew that Malin Kundang was right. So she let him
    go.
    After her son had left, Malin Kundangs mother went to the beach every day and prayed for
    her son safety. She hoped her son would return soon.
    One morning, a beautiful big ship docked. There were Malin Kundang and his wife. Malin
    Kundangs mother cried joyfully. oh Malin Kundang my son! You are home! she hugged
    the young man
    Malin kundang did not believe her. Ile said, She cant be my mother! She was a strong
    woman when i left her.
    But his wife said angrily, Why didnt you tell me that your mother is poor and old? then
    she spitted on the old woman.
    The old woman cried. She could not believe what she heard. Malin im your mother. But
    Malin Kundang did not listen. He was embrassed to have an old mother. So he kick the old
    woman and yelled at her, Go away ugly woman. My mother does not look like you at all.
    The old woman fell on the ground. She cried. Then she prayed, My dear God, if he is really
    my son, so, punish him.
    After she yelled, there was a thunderstrom, it crashed the shore and destroyed everything.The
    villagers saw rocks that looked like a man. People believed that was. Malin Kundang he
    changed into coral reef. God had punished him.
