Responsibilities:
Installation and configuration of oracle 11g standalone and RAC databases in Linux, Windows
environment. Migrate and upgrade oracle 10g RAC databases to 11g Linux 2 Node RAC databases from
Windows to Red Hat Linux operating systems.
Install and configure Oracle 12c standalone, RAC databases on Windows, Linux platform and Migrate 11g
to 12c.
Apply quarterly security patches to the production and development environment. Change sys/system/oem
password regularly in every 60 days to meet the security guidelines for Department of State. Apply DoS

Migrate/create databases on Exadata. Manage tablespaces, shared memory, invalid objects, broken jobs
issues for databases.
Monitor archive logs, tablespace issues, database links validation to avoid any downtime. Report block
corruption to System Admins if needed, and test after changes. Monitor if standby databases in sync to the
primary or not.
Setup job to backup databases using RMAN. Verify notification if the backup is not successful and make
necessary changes. Setup incremental backup.

Perform schema, table comparison for development databases, and work with the developers to apply the
changes as needed. Refresh table, Schema, database as needed for development and QA environment for
both 11g and 12c version.
Perform performance tuning for production databases. Run AWR and ADDM report as needed.
