Dear
Hiring
Manager:
I
am
writing
to
you
regarding
my
interest
in
being
considered
for
a
nursing
position
on
your
unit.
As
a
new
graduate
nurse,
I
am
looking
forward
to
being
a
proud
addition
to
your
unit,
bringing
my
compassion,
confidence,
skill-set,
and
ambition
to
all
patient
care
experiences.
In
May
2015,
I
graduated
from
the
University
of
Connecticut
with
my
Bachelors
Degree
in
Allied
Health
Sciences,
with
a
concentration
in
Public
Health
and
Health
Promotion.
I
began
my
first
undergraduate
degree
with
the
goal
of
attending
medical
school
following
graduation.
However,
through
my
exploration
of
various
health
careers
and
experiences
as
a
special
needs
care
provider,
infant
caregiver,
and
teaching
assistant,
I
found
that
my
goals
for
patient
care
best
aligned
with
the
nursing
profession.
I
thrived
in
fast-paced
environments
in
which
I
was
responsible
for
providing
care
with
compassion
and
meaningful
interactions.
Additionally,
providing
teaching
as
a
mentor
and
teaching
assistant
built
my
confidence
in
my
ability
to
educate
patients
from
admission
through
discharge,
as
a
future
preceptor,
and
as
a
future
clinical
instructor.
I
graduated
with
my
BSN
degree
from
the
University
of
South
Florida
in
August
2017,
through
the
Second
Bachelors
Degree
sequence.
I
chose
to
complete
this
program
after
researching
many
nursing
programs
and
finding
that
my
values
of
respect,
integrity,
diversity,
and
excellence
aligned
with
the
values
of
the
USF
College
of
Nursing.
My
experience
with
research,
both
at
USF
through
evidence-based
practice
and
health
policy,
and
as
a
research
assistant
and
honors
student
at
the
University
of
Connecticut
allowed
me
to
pursue
excellence
in
the
start
of
my
nursing
career.
My
unique
clinical
experiences
in
which
I
provided
care
for
diverse
patient
populations
with
various
clinical
conditions,
further
developed
the
respect
I
show
others
in
all
interactions,
and
the
integrity
I
uphold.
As
I
have
researched
opportunities
to
begin
my
nursing
career,
your
mission
statement
and
values
reflect
a
hospital
culture
that
I
would
bring
positive
energy
and
dedication
to,
as
a
thriving
RN.
It
is
for
that
reason
that
I
am
writing
to
you
today
in
hopes
that
I
may
be
viewed
as
a
vital
addition
to
your
patient
care
team.
I
welcome
the
opportunity
to
further
discuss
my
qualifications
and
learn
more
about
your
organization.
I
plan
to
follow
up
with
you
next
week
via
telephone.
I
can
also
be
reached
via
telephone
or
email
at
your
soonest
convenience.
Thank
you
for
your
consideration
and
your
time.
Sincerely,
Brooke
Fortner
