    SYLLABUS IN PSYCH 3- PRINCIPLES OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING

    VISION

    RMTU shall be a University for Sustainable Developmenta learning resource center


    for the development of leaders and entrepreneurs responsive to appropriate and emerging
    advanced technologies for the sustainable utilization of natural indigenous and human resource
    for community centered development within the dynamic and ever- widening society.

    MISSION

    The Ramon Magsaysay Technological University shall primarily provide instructions,


    undertake research and extension and provide advanced studies and progressive leadership in
    agriculture, forestry, engineering, technology, education, arts, science, humanities, and other
    fields as may be relevant to the development of the province.

    CAS GOALS

    To provide students with the basic knowledge and skills needed in the pursuit of more
    advanced and specialized fields of endeavor, develop students into more humane individuals
    through participation in different forms of artistic activities, and enrich the existing curricula and
    undertake innovation to cope with the needs and demands of global community.

    PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

    1. To provide undergraduate students with a solid basic foundation on the major areas of
    psychology.
    2. To prepare students for jobs that may involve training, testing, research, human resource
    management, basic psychometrics, and in further developing relevant knowledge and skills.
    3. To prepare graduates in their further studies such as medicine, law, business management.
    COURSE SYLLABUS
    1. Course Code: Psych 3
    2. Course Title: Principles of Guidance and Counseling
    3. Pre-requisite: Soc Sci 1 General Psychology
    4. Co-requisite: None
    5. Course Description:
    An introductory course for basic guidance work. It does not aim to provide
    everything about guidance and counseling , but it will provide sufficient orientation for students
    to acquire working knowledge of the principles , objectives, set up various services of guidance
    and counseling programs, skills and techniques in the educational setting.

    6. Credit/ Class Schedule: 3 units/3 hours
