Fuel injection pumps serve to supply fueled fuel through high-pressure nozzles. The fuel injected with high
pressure will form a fog with very fine fuel particles that easily mix with air. Type of injection pump used in KM.
Niki Sejahtera is a type of in-line injection pump. In-line injection pump is one of the most widely used fuel
injection pump types in high-speed diesel engines.

On 03 May 2017, when the ship rests on the Ende harbor, the vessel experiences leakage problems in the fuel
circulation. Leakage of fuel circulation caused by pressure is too high causing injection pump work to have
problems, thus affecting the power of the ship's mother machine. The effect of fuel leakage circulation raises the
entry of air in the fuel line causing fuel not to pump the injection, so the machine will be difficult to turn on.
Factors that cause fuel leakage circulation are very high fuel pressure, clogged fuel pipe, air or water trapped in the
fuel system, feed pump does not work, thus causing the fuel channel capillary pipe to break, neppel has leeway,
causing fuel to flow out the pipe Capillary, Injection timing is too short, Disturbance in injection nozzle, too high
valve opening pressure,leak nozzle, and low burning.

This causes the machine to stop operating. Influence on the injection pump caused by leakage fuel circulation
injection pump is jammed and can not supply fuel to the injector. And the injector can not disperse fuel into the
cylinder fuel chamber. This causes the master machine to not operate. The engine can be turned on and off, engine
knock, smoke exhaust engine, engine output is unstable or too small, the engine can not reach maximum speed,
maximum rotation is too high, and engine, idling is unstable

This research as the result of experiment which has the main purpose to know the effect of fuel circulation
leakage to the ship engine injection pump. A series of components consisting of plunger and barrel plunger is called
the pump element. Plunger will move up and down to supply fuel. Plunger moves up and down every single
camshaft movement. The high movements of the plunger are always fixed (based on camlift). Plunger structure and
barrel plunger must be equal and precise, so as to deliver fuel to the nozzle with high enough pressure
