Universal Pictures choses once again the iconic pieces of Boca do

Lobo to decorate and represent the glamourous life of Christian Grey.
After the participation of the brand on the design set of one of the
most seen 2015 movies, its time to present the hyper luxury trends to the
next episode of Christian Greys extravagant lifestyle.
The idea of inspiring future interior decorations took Boca do Lobo to

the next Fifty Shades of Greys chapter - Fifty Shades Darker - and the
passion and the personality were once again carried to the setting.
Boca do Lobo Design Studio believes that the elegance, and refine-
ment of each piece presented is timeless, perfectly matching the storys
environment and its unwind.
Striving to crave emotion in viewers homes was achieved with Boca

do Lobo being the best synonymous of luxury and exclusivity.
Directed by James Foley, alongside with E. L. James, the original

storywriter, Fifty Shades is one of the most provocative movie of nowa-
days, translated into 51 languages worldwide, selling over 100 million
paper back and e-book copies making it one of the fastest-selling book
series ever.
Boca do Lobo Design Studio is on the new and remodel design set,
fully embracing, once again, the Fifty Shades of Grey character and style.
The given opportunity being a part of this experience gave Boca do

tells his experience on the design set
Q: The first 50 Shades of

Grey was a great success for Boca
do Lobo, receiving wide media
coverage, and having pieces
shown for the hundreds of thou-
sands of people who watched
the film. How were the pieces
selected for the set design, and
who has the final say in the
choice?
A: It was without a doubt a

really important milestone for the
brand which helped strengthen
Boca do Lobos international pres-
ence. When we were first
approached by Universal, we
hadnt fully grasped the size of
contributing towards a project
like a Hollywood blockbuster.
Meeting with some of the set
designers, such as Scott Baker - a
big name in Hollywood and the
industry - was an incredibly
rewarding experience. Their team explained what they were looking for,
from feeling, to some of the important details which needed to be found on
set which could reveal more about the characters. In the end, we swapped
some ideas, and I made a few suggestions based on what we discussed. It
was great because there was a definite consensus with the design and
materials we looked at, playing a lot with brass, and small luxurious details
which subtly reveal taste and appetite for quality. Im anxious to see how the
pieces will play out in the sequels.

Q: I can imagine you would be anxious! What was the feeling like
among the team when they learned about the opportunity, and even
seeing some of their pieces on set?
A: I think it took a while to sink in. It was a continuous build of hype and
excitement as the talks progressed, until the deal went through. The excite-
ment was brilliant and added to the design teams sense of purpose. After a
good few months of waiting, and the excitement wearing off, it all kicked off
again at the beginning of the year. It was all that was discussed at the office
for about a month when the film came out, and were still feeling the effect!
It was funny to feel these two waves of buzz.
Q: What about in terms of design inspiration, did the 50 Shades of

Grey film, or the hype, contribute towards the drawing of anything new?
A: Curiously, we are currently working on a piece which sees a little bit

of Christian Greys influence. Its classy and sophisticated, and different to
what weve done in the past. Its a thrilling feeling to have something entire-
ly new close to being revealed! But thats all I can say about the matter for
the moment.
Q: And what does the future hold in terms of these product place-
ment opportunities?
A: Well, this year weve had a few other product placement opportuni-
ties, such as video clips and so on. And since 50 Shades of Grey weve begun
to receive and begin negotiating a few proposals. Moreover, we still have
the first films sequels to be released, which is going to continue to bring us
value. Product placement has definitely become an important part of our
marketing and exposure.
