Dear Maam:
Greetings!
The Department of Health in full cooperation with the Municipal Health Office of Candoni is implementing
full awareness campaign and health prevention against Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired
Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and Teenage Pregnancy.
Presently, the Province of Negros Occidental ranked second in terms of the number of HIV/AIDS positive
cases in the provincial category of Region VI. Furthermore, out of 450 700 cases, almost half of them are
asymptomatic, or those patients who have been exposed to the disease but do not manifest any
symptoms.
In this connection, in order to address the issue of increasing number of HIV/AIDS cases, our health
personnel and the DOH deployed Nurses will be conducting Health Education Program to your Grades 10,
11 and 12 students. Through this, we can help control such disease and help spread the information as a
mean of preventive measure to all population at risk.
Finally, we are cordially asking your good office to kindly allow us in this campaign. We will be pleased to
help you and our community in attaining quality health towards health for all. Furthermore, may I ask a
convenient schedule from you where we will be able to conduct the said health education campaign. You
may reach us at any time in this numbers: 0910 673 7777 and 0920 583 4416.
