Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Walk in northeast Georgia. More anti-racism study
and training. Designed and co-led Lenten program on white privilege, for own
church.
1980s Intense study of radical feminism (Mary Daly, Judy Chicago, Adrienne Rich,
through more.) Occasional workshops and groups in northeast Georgia. At 1983
2015 conference of artist-blacksmiths, attempted to organize a womens caucus. 1990
1992, Held womens circles at my Medicine Wheel, opened womens coffee
house and retreat center in the woods. From 1990 to 1994, forged openwork iron
bowls as ritual art for co-creating a postpatriarchal culture.
1970s In 1970, organized a womens caucus during a professional training workshop in
organization development sponsored by National Training Laboratories (NTL).
1991-2011 In local NE GA area, provided individual creativity coaching sessions for people
interested in any creative medium: writing, dance, photography, painting, and
more. Initiated and led group for local artists, based on Peter Elbows principles
for writers groups, for three years. Offered workshops on tools for accessing
inner wisdom.
1975-1982 Organization Development Consultant for Human Development Associates,
Inc. in Atlanta. (My name was then Catherine Witham Harkins.) Designed and
led year-long training programs and internships for people wanting to learn
professional-level skills in leading groups and workshops. Trained and led a
team who in turn trained volunteer trainers for the Girl Scouts of Northwest
Georgia (including the greater Atlanta area). Completely redesigned the
volunteer training for that agency, to focus on the personal growth of the girls
and their leaders a goal of the Board of Directors. Wrote grant applications for
The Link, carried out programs for United Way of Atlanta, and worked with a
number of other clients -- some business, mainly nonprofits.
1969-1982 Freelance human relations consultant. Designed and led personal growth
groups and classes on self-esteem, vocational development, assertiveness
training, and more. Worked with nonprofit and business staff groups to facilitate
conflict resolution and team building. Developed and led Self-Esteem Training
(S.E.T.) and trained others to lead it. Served more 45 organizations in the SE.
Crisis intervention services to nonprofits.
1967-1969 Mental Health Program Worker, Reed Zone Center, Chicago, IL, State of IL
Mental Health.

reviving, and https://margefelder.wordpress.com/ as a memorial for my life
partners work as a woodturner.
2005 - 2012 Research, analysis, writing, SEO editing, blog articles, and special projects for
ConsumerSearch.com. Revamped SEO program and secured copyright
registration for the publication. Wrote full-length reports covering over 70 product
categories. Updated and reorganized many annually, to take new developments
into account. Found data often overlooked; probed deeply to uncover insights
valuable to consumers. For example, for a report on table saws, found that the
major woodworking magazines had misinterpreted the accident data from the
Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Other publications eventually
came around to the same point of view.
1997 - 2006 Freelance research and web design for private clients.
1979 - 1983 Evaluation research and final recommendations for the Outdoor Therapeutic
Program, Cleveland, GA. Designed research, did testing and interviews, analyzed
data and wrote final report.
1969 - 2004 Varied freelance writing projects, including magazine articles. For nonprofit
organizations in Atlanta, wrote grant proposals, reports, training manuals, press
releases, and dozens of flyers and ads. For a nominee to Georgia Women of
Achievement, used fresh research, a strategic angle, and powerful writing to
transform a losing proposal into a winning one.
