    Executive Summary

    “Chahine Electrical Services” is a business made to provide electrical service for


    households/businesses and is run from home in Merrylands West. It is a sole trader business
    of which only has 1-2 employees, one of them being the owner of the business. The main
    objective of the business is to provide electrical services to people in need.

    Competitors:

    The main competitors competing with the business given are:

     Other electricians: O' Brien Electrical, AJB Electrical Pty Ltd etc... of which are located in
    some parts of Sydney close to where “Chahine Electrical Services” works too.
     Handymen: of which are also licensed to do electrical services

    Other electricians may compete with each other to gain as many customers and maximise
    profit. There are many ways a competing business could do to achieve this. One of them is
    to lower their hourly rate so attract more customers or provide an almost perfect standard
    of work.

    Operations:
     The service provided by “Chahine Electrical Services” include , installing, operating,
    repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, including electronics and electrical distribution
    systems, install wiring in new buildings, install pipes and vents for heating and cooling system 
     The personnel requirements and skill needed by the business is to do a management
    and electrician course/certificate
     The rights and responsibilities of the employer are to provide all materials needed for
    the job, all safety equipment (shoes, hard hat, and suitable clothes etc.)

     Responsibilities to external stakeholders (e.g. customers, include making sure there is


    insurance in case of an accident, to make sure all their supplies are in stock to be
    delivered/ received to the owner
     Responsibilities to internal stake holders include owners – to make sure employees are
    following the correct procedures, and the employees need to make sure their work is
    done properly and their supplies are stocked up.
    Recommendations:
    1. Become more organised in terms of paper work and materials (e.g. put certain
    letters/receipts in a box for tax purposes, organise materials in the work van by
    sorting them into categories)
    2. To start promoting their business other than ‘word of mouth’ to raise profits.
    In summary “Chahine Electrical Services” is a Sole-Trader business with 1-2 employees
    targeted at anyone who needs electrical services and one of the employees is the
    manager/owner of the company.
