The Sixth Annual Conference and Scientific Sessions of the Sri Lankan Society for Microbiology will be held on October 27th, 2017 at the Oak Ray Regency Hotel in Kandy. The day-long program will include two keynote speeches in the morning on snakebite and leptospirosis. Three scientific sessions will be held after a morning tea break covering topics such as vector-borne diseases, natural antimicrobial products, and bacterial/fungal infections. Poster sessions will coincide with tea breaks and lunch to allow attendees to interact and view research posters. The conference will conclude with an afternoon session for attendees to meet with experts in the field.
