    A Note from Mr. Field:

    Dear Parents,
    IMPORTANT DATES: It was wonderful to see so many of you at our holiday concert last week! It was a great
    time to celebrate all of our students' hard work preparing for this big day! Thank you as

    well for all of the treats, crafts, donations for families and special presents during this
    individual classroom holiday season! Our staff feels so supported and appreciated! Thank you for partnering
    blogs for times with us and modeling a real-life, tangible example of our "better together" school theme.

    includes gift cards, Hudsonville We can't wait to see your children back on Monday, January 8th!

    will put every name in the pot to be
    drawn the week before break! The
    basket will be on display in the office

    From The Gym-


    As we finish things up before Holiday Break I would like to take the opportunity to wish your family a happy holiday
    season. Its been a great year so far and I cant wait to see the progress our students will make during the second half
    of the year!

    Our students have been doing a great job of remembering their gym shoes, so far. I suggest to them just to leave a
    pair at school and then they dont have to worry about it. With snow days, breaks, and the new rotation schedule, its
    about to get really confusing! I will try to help by posting the classes that have PE on the Gym Facebook page.

    When we return after the New Year we will be busy, busy, busy! We will be starting our basketball unit, sending out
    our PE apparel order forms; followed closely by our Jump Rope for Heart information. If you have any questions
    about any of these things, or anything else, please let me know!

    Remember Boots, Hats, Mittens and Snow pants!
    Cold weather and snow are coming! Your child is outside in the morning, and two recess periods. Please remember to send them with proper
    attire. If your child does not come with boots and snow pants they must stay on the blacktop the entire recess to stay dry. Also, please label
    everything! The lost and found bucket grows considerably over the winter with unclaimed / unlabeled items.

    HUDSONVILLE COMMUNITY EDUCATION

    669-7747, ext. #3 for information regarding all the activities being offered.

    In honor of national Give Kids a Smile Day, one of our local dentist offices, Hudsonville
    Family Dentistry, will be offering free dental care on Friday, January 26 for up to 15-20
    students from Park. In order to qualify for this these services students must meet the following
    criteria: 1. Currently enrolled at Park Elementary School 2. Either have no dental insurance or
    have only Medicaid insurance 3. Does not regularly see a dentist 4. Or is in need of dental
    attention (cleaning and/or work). Please let the school office (669-1970) or bfield@hpseagles.net
    know as soon as possible if you would like your child to participate. This will be on a first-
    come, first-served basis.

    December 15 @ Unity Christian Join Hudsonville & Unity Christian in our 2017 Salad City Classic Food Drive Bring at least 2 non-
    perishable food items to the basketball games on December 15 to use as admission. The Food Drive will benefit Love INC in Hudsonville
    (Sports passes from both schools and $5 will be allowed for admission) Girls game tips off at 6:00 pm, boys game follows at 7:30 pm and
    will be broadcast by ESPN 96.1 as the Game of the Week with Bret Bakita & Drew Neitzel

    Ski & Snowboard Club


    HPS Students, siblings and parents interested in purchasing Discount Ski Club Cards to Bittersweet Ski Resort in Otsego, should sign up now
    with the new Eagle Ski & Board Club online system (see link below). You will be able to purchase club cards for only $16 (students and
    adults) and Eagle ski and board merchandise, along with club apparel. Cards allow discounted rates on lift tickets and rentals. Bus passes are
    not offered to elementary students. General registration ends tonight at 11:59 pm; you'll receive your passes next week. Late
    registration is offered through January 12; you'd receive your passes the week of January 15th. eagleskiclub17.itemorder.com

    The Youth Boys team will be having Lacrosse Sign-Ups starting December 1st. All boys 1stthrough 8thgrade will be able to play this season.
