    Next door’s gym building.

    WHY IS THIS LOCATION SUITABLE FOR YOUR PROJECT?

    This location is suitable for my advert, as I can easily show the exercise as well as active element. This is because the cast
    can use the equipment in the gym – treadmill and rowing machine. Also this location has easy access as it next door.

    GENERAL INFORMATION
    People who might be affected by recording in this location:
    ● Next door neighbours may be affected as I am using their gym.

    Precautions/measures taken to minimise the impact of your recording:


    I have made sure before I start my filming for my advert in the gym, I have asked for my neighbours permission. I will also
    make sure that my neighbours are not using the gym at the time.

    Power sources available In the gym.


    Catering My house. (next door).
    Toilets My house (next door).
    Telephones Everyone has their own mobile phone, which can be contacted.
    Daylight times (if recording outside) I will film when there is daylight (10am-3pm).
    Locals/Authorities to be contacted Let my neighbours know when i am beginning to film in their gym.

    Measurements of space used on location: (Use paces if necessary)

    I will be using the gym inside, with the different gym equipment - including a treadmill and a rowing machine.

    Describe any restrictions/hazards in the immediate vicinity:

    ● Heavy weights in the gym area, which could be dangerous, if picked up or used in the advert.
    ● Falling of the treadmill.
    ● Pulling a muscle, when exercising on the treadmill and rowing machine.
    ● Slippy floors.

    Where will the crew work on this location?


    The crew will be working on the treadmill and rowing machine, whilst they are inside the gym. This demonstrates the active
    element in my second advert.
    Where will the cast work on this location?

    I will be filming behind the camera (inside the gym) showing the cast exercising on the treadmill and rowing machine.

    Heavy weights in the gym could be dropped accidently, if they are used in the advert.

    Falling off the treadmill.

    Pulling a muscle when using the exercise machines.

    Describe the aesthetics of the location (e.g. Describe the potential camera shots or describe the acoustic value of the location)

    This location allows me to clearly show the active element in advert ,which is effectively targeted for my specific target
    audience (youthful and active). The mise en scene of the gym shows the different exercises and equipment available. I will
    be able to use a variety of shots - establishing, long, close up, two shot etc. For example, long shots can be used to show the
    full movements on the treadmill and rowing machines. However close ups can be used to show facial expressions as well as
    highlighting minor details like sweat patches under the arm ( of the person who didn't use the deodorant). Two shots can be
    used to show the difference of the two people (one who used the deodorant and one who didn’t), indicating the person
    who did use the deodorant is remaining fresh whilst exercising, showing that the deodorant is effective and long lasting.
