INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS
On September 24, 2011, twenty thousand people from 20 colleges and universities
in the National Capital Region gathered at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in line with
the celebration of the Youth Peace Festival 2011 with the theme, “Youth Peace-building
Initiatives Towards Responsive Community Action.”
Out of all the 20 colleges and universities participating in the Poster Making Competition,
Mark Anthony Francisco a first year student of Bachelor of Science in Political Economy
from Polytechnic University of the Philippines is declared champion. His colorful work that
highlights the importance of peace preservation for everyone caught the eyes of the judges,
resulting in a first-place win.

Recognition
It was his second time to be delegated as a Model Congressman. This time he served as a
representative of the second district of Bulacan. PMC is a congress simulation pioneered
bothe by Harvard University and Yale, with the help of Universities of the Philippines.
Conducted yearly to educate and at the same time hear the grievance of the youth and as
much as possible redress it to renowned lawmakers so that would be more open to youth.
Outdoor Participant
A 3-day debating tournament held at University of the Philippines - Los Banos. It is open to
all debaters all around the Philippines.
