MURREE / GALIYAT
QUEEN OF HILLS - Murree is basically a beautiful hill station which is situated on the boundary
of Pakistan. This border is stretched from Punjab and goes all the way to Azad Kashmir.
Undoubtedly, Pakistan is one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. When it comes to
breathtaking landscapes and mind-blowing sceneries, Pakistan is absolutely matchless.
During the winter season, heavy snow falls hits many areas of the country resulting in formation
of captivating and enthralling snow landscapes. Every year, large number of people rush to these
places to see snowfall and one of the most beautiful place to enjoy snowfall is
Malka-e-Kohsar Murree.
Mountains covered with snow, valleys with fog, forests with heavy green trees and the weather,
all these things make Murree an ideal place for tourists to visit.
Patriata is a hill station located 15km South-east of Murree hill. It is famous for its chair lifts
which runs for 7kms and runs over many eye-catching, scenic regions and provides people with a
birds-eye view of Kashmir’s green hills. The whole area is covered with huge and dark forests.
Sozo Water Park located in Murree is an amusement park with plenty of rides as well as a haunted
house. The park takes pride in being the first ever and largest water-park in Pakistan.
Mall road in Murree is the most populated place ever in this region. Tourists usually go there to
have food and do shopping. The best time to visit Mall road is after the evening. The mall road is
basically a hill which starts from the Post Office. You can go there till midnight. A variety of
Pakistani foods are available at Mall road. You’ll have a good time going there.
Overall Murree is a great spot for tourism. Many domestic and foreign tourists visit Murree at
least once in their life, to see the real beauty of Pakistan. Murree is a real blessing from God to the
people of Pakistan.
NEELUM VALLEY
Neelum valley is an attractive place for tourists due to its famous lush greenery, springs, streams,
lakes and hilly and sloppy mountains. It is a beautiful valley containing about 370 small and large
villages and about two hundred thousand population. It starts from Chelhana and goes till Taobut
and is 250 km long. It is named Neelum due to its river, curving like the snake with transparent
sky colored water. Like any other valley of the subcontinent it has the most heterogeneous
population with variety of rituals, customs and traditions. The whole valley is full of beautiful and
fascinating sceneries
This ninety-mile long kingdom of vegetation is ripped apart by the indigo blue Neelum River
which flows meandering down hills to merge itself into the river Jhelum at Domail. Domail, the
convergence of two mighty rivers, presents highly fascinating scene of youthful embrace. This
heart-warning spectacle is most soothing to the eye.
Neelum Valley is situated to the North & North East of Muzaffarabad and running parallel to the
Kaghan Valley. Some of its famous places are Shounter Pass, Chita Khata, Ratti Gali, Baboon,
Noori Top, Sharda, Kel, Surgon and many more mentioned by famous tourists like Mustansar
Hussain Tararr, Ibn-e-Batota etc. Tararr even wrote a travelogue, Ratti Gali after visiting this place.
Toli Peer is a mountainous and the most attractive point in the north-eastern area of Rawalakot. It
is one of the most beautiful and fascinating tourist spot in Rawlakot which is almost 15 km ahead
from the top of Toli Peer hills. It is all covered with green and paved grass land. It is almost 800
feet above from the sea level. The temperature remains very down in spring and gentle breezes
make the environment very healthy and happy. One who visits this spot can never forget it. Toli
peer offers outback time on wide spread grassy fields and aspiring views as it is the origin point
of three different mountainous ridges. The tourism rest-house on the way to toil peer is also located
on a very scenic location.
Banjosa is a beautiful lake surrounded by lush green mountains offering spectacular views. The
site is located on Banjosa Road, 20 Kilometers from Rawlakot, at an altitude of 1981 meters. Its
scenic beauty and impressive surrounding is compelling and attracts tourists to reach here to enjoy
the nature. Admist the captivation beauty of Banjosa the artificial Lake reflects the forest standing
along the surrounding of the resting calm water.
SWAT VALLEY
Swat valley is the land of historical treasures, beautiful landscapes, and many ancient tales. It is
known for its snow-capped peaks, countless waterfalls and glaciers, water springs and pastures,
streams and rivulets, thick woods, glades and glens, natural parks, lakes and dark forests. The large
landscapes change its color with the weather.
Through Swat Valley flows many lakes. These lakes contain splashing and freezing cold water
melted from mountain ice caps. The valley can be called the Valley of Lakes, which not only feeds
the bright Green River Swat but also delivers idyllic camping sites for adventurous people and
nature lovers.
This area is full of green meadows, high mountains, clear lakes and water falls and is generating a
large revenue for the country in tourism department. The languages spoken in Swat valley are
Pashto, Gogri and Kohistani. Swat is also famous as "the Switzerland of East"
Kalam is a cool heaven for tourists which is located at distance of 99 km from Mingora in the
northern upper reaches of Swat valley along the bank of Swat River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
province of Pakistan
Miandam is small summer resort near Swat valley and follows the stream, past houses with
beehives set into the walls and good-luck charms whitewashed around the doors.
HUNZA
Hunza valley is one of the highest located town in Pakistan. Situated at the very end of the Silk
Route on Pakistan side, the valley provides access to the China border- which is the World’s
highest border crossing.
Hunza Valley is best for beauty lovers. It is has epic culture and sheer adventure. It is a remote
mountain kingdom. The beauty of the valley paradise is unparalleled from the soft blossoms of the
apricot trees to the dark snowcapped rock monuments of Rakaposhi to Ultar Sar (7388 m.) jabbing
a vivid blue backdrop high above. The view of bridge crossing Hunza River at Passu in the way
to Shimshal Valley is breath taking.
In autumn, Hunza Valley brings with it a vibrant colour palette as the hills and slopes are
covered in leaves and snow; making the region more picturesque. Hunza provides an atmosphere
to relax and enjoy the wonders of God.
We can find Altit & Baltit Fort that preserve the old history of this valley. These contain ancient
places that mark the heritage of the people of Hunza valley. Right on top of Baltit Fort, we have
Eagle Nest hotel that presents a mesmirizng view of sunset and sunrise which is a treat to the eyes.
Just some few KMs ahead, we can find the breathtaking Karakoram Highway that leads to
Khunjerab Pass, Hussaini Bridge, Atabad Lake, Passu Cones and Sost.
BHAWALPUR / CHOLISTAN
Bahawalpur is one of the major cities in Punjab. It is the capital of Bahawalpur district and the
13th most populous city of Pakistan. Bahawalpur has a royal history, and is now a much developed
metropolitan city. It can be considered as a mega city in terms of real estate, parks, markets and
institutions.
Bahawalpur has been home to most of the kings and nawabs. It is a vital attraction for tourists and
history lovers. These kings built palaces for themselves which are a basis of tourist attraction.
Bahawalpur Zoo is one of the biggest attraction for Bahawalpur and its surroundings.
Cholistan Desert (Rohi) is one of the famous spots among visitors, located in Bahawalpur.
Cholistan Desert, constructed in a very idealistic way, there long walls, which made from red
bricks, look unique among other forts. It has around almost 400 others Forts, which stretch out the
natural beauty of this desert areas includes, Mirgarh Fort, Islamgarh Fort, Derawar Fort, Jamgarh
Fort, Mojgarh Fort, Marot Fort, Phoolra Fort, Khangarh Fort, Khairgarh Fort, Nawankot Fort,
Bijnot Fort and plenty of other forts. In the extreme north of Pakistan
CHITRAL
Surrounded by some of the tallest mountains in the world, Chitral is Pakistan’s northern-most
district, situated just across the border from Afghanistan.
Chitral Valley at an elevation of 1128 meters has Afghanistan on its North, South and West. It is
surrounded by the Wakhan, Badkhshan, Asmar and Nooristan area of Afghanistan in the north,
west and south-west.
The landscape of Chitral is extremely mysterious, with its steep harsh mountains, lush green
valleys, beautiful meadows and big glaciers, which have made it one of the most difficult and
inaccessible area of the world
There are certain famous places and valleys in Chitral like Garam Chashma valley, Booni, Golen
valley, Madaklasht valley, Arandu, Birir, Rumbur and Bumburat.
The world famous Shandur pass is approx 3738 meters above sea level and lies midway between
Chitral and Gilgit. Shandur pass remains snow covered in winter and turns into green pastures
during summer season. The Shandurlake adds to the colours of plateau surrounded by high
mountains.
The lush green marvelously beautiful and the most favorite among tourists for its natural beauty;
the Ayun Valley is situated between Chitral Town and Kalash. It is sited at the bank of River
Chitral.
SAKARDU
In the extreme north of Pakistan, Skardu the central valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, is an epitome of
beauty, serenity and wilderness.
Paths to some of the world’s highest mountains that includes K2, K3, and Gasherbrum; all are
connected through this valley.
These towering mountains attract thousands of climbers from all over the world each year; some
have even lost their lives in efforts to summit these steep climbs
Apart from the incomparable bunch of mountains and its peaks and glaciers, Baltistan consist of
five valleys such as Kharmang, Rondu, Skardu, Shigar and Khaplu are known for its luscious
pears, apricots and apples.
Kachhura Lake’s crystal clear water is surrounded by old dramatic trees.
Moving forward from the Skardu Bazaar, a road leads up to the world’s highest plains, Deosai,
and on the same road, Sadpara Lake can be seen. On a full moon night, Sadpara Lake seems
extremely mesmerizing.
