Harbour Cranes - fleet

Polar Lift operates a fleet of HMK E series harbour cranes (HMK – Harbour Mobile
Crane, E – Electric) from Gottwald. The current models include HMK 170 E, HMK 260
E, HMK 280 E, and HMK 300 E. All of the models accept the same accessories. The
containers are handled with automatic container handling equipment. The special
hoisting devices are used with steel drums and other bodies, while bulk goods and
scrap metal are lifted using efficient multi-purpose clamshell buckets. .

Comparison of different cranes

Because the boom support

point on harbour cranes is
located in an elevated
position, it is possible to
bring the crane close to the
ship. A highly placed cab
offers excellent visibility.
