Students will have to work alone to create sentences, but they learn from their mistakes as they keep
practicing the new information.
In this lesson, students will add more vocabulary to their knowledge of the language. Students will learn
new words, their meaning and in what context could be use. Student will comprehend the new information,
process it and apply it using their own lives.
Students will be given the opportunity to complete a small project to check how good they understand the
new words and if they are capable of constructing phrases using those words. Students will have to use
technology to get creative and do the project (assessment).
Students will articulate ideas using written and oral communication. Students will figure out meaning and
6 intentions of what is being introduced.

Instruction
Hands and facial gestures to figure out meaning and words. Slow talk and the use of
cognates. Students will also get pictures and objects to figure out the meaning and
facilitate knowledge and comprehension.
Special Needs
Depending on their identified needs, students will get the necessary adaptations. For
example, give them a special seat; give them more time for assignments, individual help
and more. In a few words, investigate the possible accommodations/modifications and
give them special attention
Accelerated (Gifted/Talented)
The gifted students may help the teacher with those students that need extra explanation of
the content. These students will help other struggling students and at the same time their

Students will create a brief project using any technology tool, to illustrate their knowledge and
part of their lives. It will check for their understanding of vocabulary words and how well they
were able to use previous knowledge to create sentences that work with the new content.
An informal assessments is: every student will share with the teacher and classmates two
sentences about the things they life to do in their free time using the vocabulary words or other
words learned before. Teacher will give immediate feedback as well as the classmates.

Delivery
At the beginning of the lesson, students will be given a question that will make them use what they
learned the day before. This is a way to get students to use phrases or the vocabulary words they
learned in the past. Students tend to pay more attention if what they are learning is somehow
connected to their lives. Therefore, that question will make students to provide a little information
about themselves and their lives.
