Namaste, Hola, Kia Orana, Bonjour, Talofa Lava,
Konnichi wa and Kia Ora,

It has been fantastic to see everyone returning after

the holiday break, with lots of stories of what they
have been up to and enjoying being back learning and playing at
school. Having the sun shining as well is a bonus.

Tawhairauiki
Tawhairauriki have been practising their
relationships by working with their talking
partner to produce a piece of art.

Coming up to Labour Weekend, many

of us start to think about our
garden and what we can be doing
with it this year. If you haven't
tried growing your own fruit,
veggies, herbs and flowers yet- this
could be the year. I'm sure your
kids would be happy to help. A
couple of tomato plants bought now
will be giving you tomatoes all
through January February March
and into April, and some bean seeds will do the
same. Much like your kids, with a little bit of love
and nourishment, plants will thrive and give you back
much goodness. They talk less too! In our school
garden we will soon be planting our tomatoes, beans,
basil, broccoli, zucchini etc - so take advantage of
your children's talents and why not see if they can
help you do the same at home? If you need extra
guidance, get in touch - join our Urban Kai Farms
Facebook page, and Common Unity Project page
too. Happy Springtime!
