John Hamel
Prayers
Pray these prayers over yourself & all 5-Fold ministers before preaching.
NOTE: The pray points with a bullet indicates the abbreviated listing which I
try to pray daily. I always pray the entire listing on the days I am preaching and
teaching.
• Father, we ask Your forgiveness again today for our continuing national sins
of abortion, idolatry, immorality and anti-Semitism. We thank You for pouring
out Godly sorrow on the United States and the nations of the world for
cooperating with these crimes against You. (2Corinthians 7:10; 2Timothy 2:25-
26)
• Father, I thank You that everywhere we preach the Gospel, Jesus works with
us, confirming the Word with signs following. Demonstrations, manifestations
and operations of the Holy Spirit are in evidence in our services as You glorify
Yourself, confirm the Lordship of Jesus Christ and show forth Your compassion
for humanity. (Mark 16:20; 1Corinthians 12:4-12)
• Because we proclaim the Name of the Lord and praise the greatness of God,
our teaching and preaching falls like Holy Spirit rain on the people. Your words
descend upon the hearers like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant
rain on tender plants. As You speak through us, the Heavens and the Earth listen
to the words of our mouths. (Deuteronomy 32:1-3)
I decree and declare that as we preach the Gospel every ravine is filled, all
mountains (Representing human obstacles. Zechariah 4:7 Amp Bible) are
brought low, the crooked is made straight, rough roads become smooth and all
flesh shall see the salvation of God. Those who hear Your Word bring forth
fruits in keeping with repentance. (Luke 3:5-6,8)
• Your winnowing fork is in Your hand, and You thoroughly clear Your
threshing floor (the Earth) and gather all the wheat (of humanity) into Your barn
(the Church), and You burn up the chaff (of unbelief) with unquenchable (Holy
Spirit) fire as we preach to the people with many exhortations. (Luke 3:17-18)
• Your Spirit is upon us because You have anointed us to preach the Gospel, to
proclaim liberty to the captives, sight to the blind, freedom to the downtrodden,
and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19)
• Your Spirit is within us, therefore we know exactly what You would have us
say to these people. (1 John 2:20, 27)
• With great authority and power, we preach Your Word, commanding unclean
spirits and they obey the Holy Spirit within us and come out. If necessary,
according to the will of God and through the operation of Discerning of Spirits,
these evil spirits identify themselves to us by name and number present in order
for us to cast them out. (Mark 5:1-16)
Thank You for sending to these services those who are sick. As we lay our
hands upon them, Jesus heals them. (Luke 4:36,40)
Thank You, Father, for enabling us to perceive the reasonings of their hearts. As
we address those reasonings, they are seized with astonishment and glorify You,
recognizing that they are bearing witness to the supernatural. (Luke 5:22, 26)
Thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit convicting unbelievers concerning
their sin, because they've not believed in Jesus, concerning righteousness,
because Jesus now sits enthroned at Your right hand, and concerning judgment,
because Satan has been judged and they recognize that he has held them captive
in violation of their free will. (John 16:8-11)
• Thank You that You take note of every threatening against us, these Ministries
and the hearers. Thank You for granting that we may speak Your Word with all
confidence and boldness as You extend Your hand to judge sin, to call to
service, to heal and perform signs and wonders through the Name of Your Holy
Child, Jesus. (Acts 4:29-30; Psalm 136:11-12; Proverbs 1:24; Deuteronomy
5:15)
We receive the grace (Divine ability) You gave to us in Christ Jesus, and we
thank You that in everything we are enriched in Him, in all speech and in all
knowledge. We are not lacking in any gift in Jesus' Strong Name. (1
Corinthians 1:4-7)
We are patient and kind. We are bold but not arrogant. We will not boast of
anything other than Your greatness. (1 Corinthians 13:4)
We will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished
through us; and it results in the obedience of the hearers by word and deed, in
the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and we fully
preach the Gospel all over this Earth. We are not hindered in any way from
bringing the Gospel to the people of this world. (Romans 15:17-19, 22)
Thank You, Father, that You always lead us to triumph in Christ, against Satan
and demon powers, manifesting through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge
of Christ in every place. We are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who
are being saved and among those who are perishing; to one we are an aroma of
death to death, to the other we are an aroma from life to life. We do not peddle
Your Word insincerely, but as from sincerity, as from You, Father, we speak in
Christ as we stand before You. (2 Corinthians 2:14-17)
• Thank You that utterance is given to us in the opening of our mouths and we
make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel for which we are Your
chosen ambassadors. In proclaiming Your Word we speak it boldly as it ought
to be spoken. (Ephesians 6:19-20)
• Thank You that our tongues are as the pens of ready writers. Wisdom falls
from our lips and meets with faith in the hearts of the hearers. Not one of Your
words falls to the ground or returns to You void. All of Your words
supernaturally accomplish the very thing for which You have sent them. (Psalm
145:1; 1 Samuel 3:19; Isaiah 55:11)
Because we speak only that which is precious and not that which is vile, our
mouths are as Your mouth. (Jeremiah 15:19)
• Thank You that You continually open unto us doors of utterance in both the
spiritual and natural realms that we may constantly preach the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. We make it clear in the way that it ought to be spoken, conducting
ourselves with wisdom. Our speech is always with grace, seasoned with salt
and we know how to respond to everyone. (Colossians 4:3-6)
• Thank You that Your Word spreads rapidly and is glorified through us. You
deliver us from perverse and evil men and women who have no faith. You, O
Lord, are faithful and You strengthen and protect us from the evil one, from
terrorists and terrorism, directing our hearts unto the love of God and the
steadfastness of Christ. (2 Thessalonians 3:1-5)
• No evil shall befall us because the angels of God accompany, preserve and
defend us, protecting us from accident, incident and injury. You have given
them charge over us in our obedience and service to You. (Psalm 91:10-16)
• Thank You, Father, for adding to us true and brave men and women of
integrity, faith and means who minister to us of their substance. (1 Samuel
10:26; Luke 8:1-3)
Thank You, Father, for strengthening us, considering us faithful and putting us
into the Ministry even though we were formerly Your enemies. But You
showed us mercy because we acted ignorantly and in unbelief. Your grace is
more than sufficient. (1 Timothy 1:12-14)
The Apostle Paul's
"Ephesians & Colossians Prayers"
Pray over Yourself, Christ's Body, 5-Fold Ministers & Those to Whom You
Minister.
• Father, I thank You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, for
granting unto us, Your Body, the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the
Knowledge of Christ. Thank You for enlightening and illuminating the spiritual
eyes and ears of our understanding, causing us to realize the hope of our
callings, enabling us to see clearly through Your Word the riches of the Glory of
Your inheritance in us as saints in light, filling us to overflowing with the
knowledge of Your will with all spiritual wisdom, insight, knowledge,
discernment, perception and understanding.
You have put all things under Christ's feet, giving Him to be the Head over all
things to the Church which is His Body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in
all. (Ephesians 1:16-23; Colossians 1:9 JHM paraphrase)
• For this cause we bow before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ of Whom
the whole family in Heaven and Earth is named, for You have granted
according to the riches of Your Glory that we be strengthened with might by
Your Spirit in our inner men, that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith and
that we, now being rooted and grounded in love, are able to comprehend with
all the saints what is the breadth, length, depth and height and to know the love
of Christ which passes human knowledge.
Thank You that we are filled with all the fullness of God. By action of Your
power, which is at work within us, You are carrying out Your plans, purposes
and pursuits for us. You are doing superabundantly, far over and above all that
we would dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires,
thoughts, hopes and dreams. (Ephesians 3:14-20 JHM paraphrase)
• We thank You that we walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being
fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience
and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto You, Father, for You
have made us able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.
You have delivered us from the power of darkness, translating us into the
Kingdom of Your dear Son; In Whom we have redemption through His Blood
even the forgiveness of sins; Who is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn of every creature: for by Him were all things created that are in
Heaven, and that are in Earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities or powers; all things were created by Him and for
Him; He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. (Colossians 1:10-17
JHM paraphrase)
• To You be Glory in the Church, Your Body, and in Christ Jesus throughout all
generations for ever and ever. So be it in Jesus' Strong Name. (Ephesians 3:21
JHM paraphrase)
Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin's Personal
Prayer Of Consecration
(Paraphrased by JHM)
• Lord, I present myself unto You. May Your will be done in my life. May I
never forget that I have surrendered all that I am to You. I commit myself to be
one whom You can use - consecrated and separated unto Your purposes.
• I'll pay the price by denying the flesh. If You call me in the nighttime I'll get
on my knees and pray. If I am never seen of men and if I always work behind
the scenes, still I will be faithful. I lay aside all personal ambition. I'll be one
who walks in the Spirit and in Your perfect will. In Jesus' Name, Your will shall
be wrought in my heart, in my life, and in my Ministry.
• Thank You, Holy Spirit, for helping me to see what I have not seen and to hear
what I have not heard. Thank you for helping me to know what I have not
known and for showing me things to come.
• Thank you for preparing me for that which you have prepared for me, in Jesus'
Strong Name.
