System description

Automatic climbing formwork Lifting by crane

Xclimb 60 – guided repositioning, Even in windy conditions, an entire unit is repositioned
either by crane or hydraulically safely and easily in one single lift.

The Doka automatic climbing formwork Xclimb 60 is a Hydraulic repositioning

system in which the entire unit is structure-guided at all
times, even while being repositioned. The Automatic climbing formwork Xclimb 60 is inde-
pendent of the crane, thanks to the use of portable
hydraulic components.

High safety in every phase of the work

▪ The system is guided up, and secured to, the struc-

ture during lifting.
▪ It can be repositioned safely in winds of up to
70 km/h.
▪ Its large platforms and an integrated vertical access
system make for safe working.

High flexibility

▪ The platform sizes can be freely selected and

accommodated to the geometry of the structure.
▪ Finishing-work platforms can be attached anywhere
on the scaffold.
▪ The height of the casting sections is freely selectable
from 2.7 m up to 4.5 m.

Start-up phases
Starting up
The modular design of the Xclimb 60 system means
that many different combinations are possible.
Depending on the project, the actual design may thus
differ very greatly from the basic type described here.
➤ In these cases, you should discuss the assembly
procedure with your Doka technician.
➤ Follow the shop drawing / assembly plan.

☞ Important note:
▪ A hard, flat, firm surface is needed!
▪ Prepare a sufficiently large assembly area.
▪ Consider what craneage is available
▪ Tightening torque of the couplers for the
bracing tubes: 50 Nm

Note:
The plank and board thicknesses given here comply
with the C24 category of EN 338.
Observe all national regulations applying to deck-
boards and guard-rail boards.

☞ In order to explain the entire climbing workflow

as simply as possible, the repetitive actions
involved are described in detail in separate sec-
tions of this booklet.
The sections in question are:
▪ Preparing the positioning points and suspen-
sion points (see 'Anchoring on the struc-
ture').
▪ Closing the formwork (see 'Closing the form-
work').
▪ Striking (see 'Opening the formwork').
▪ In addition, the following sections must also
be observed:
- Plumbing & aligning the formwork
- Resetting by crane

☞ Important note:
The first time of putting into service and the first
typical sequence of a hydraulic raising oper-
ation must all be supervised by a Doka Form-
work Instructor or other authorised technician.

For instructions on tying and joining the form-

work elements, and on cleaning them and using
concrete release-agents, see the User Informa-
tion booklets 'Large-area formwork Top50' and
'Framed formwork Framax Xlife'.
