The Philippine fault zone (PFZ) has 1,200 km-long fault line that goes from Ilocos, Zambales, and Tubao, La
Union down to Masbate, West Panay, Bohol, and Davao. A fault line is a crack or fracture on the ground that
occurs when the Earth’s tectonic plates move or shift. These areas are where earthquakes are likely to occur.
